Was wonder if Master Commando is a good combo with Master smuggler. But I am seeing a lot Master Pistoleer going with it. Just want some info back. Is duel weilding coming to the game? Would be cool to have 2 pistols.

Duel weild is anyones guess, I can tell you pistoleers want it bad, and it would rock. You see alot of master pistoleer/smugglers due in large part to our dirty fighting line. I can tell you my triple master of pistol/TKA and Smuggler is the bomb, i can tank and PVP all uber like and when someone or thing runs i switch to blasters knock-em down, bleed them, then beat the hell out of them. But i have seen Master Smuggler/commando's and it does look like fun, its up to you.

I was a Smuggler/Commando for a long time. The damage was nice, but I didn't find the SP investment was worth it. The FT was the main wep I used. I didn't have it when the Corvette or DWB came out, so I hardly used the HAR. Since then the HAR has become a more useful wep...still doesn't have a DOT.
I find being TK/Pistoleer with my smuggler as a better template. Against the really tough mobs,It allows me to tank for groups. Everything else...I just beat down anyways.

Sayvon, TKA and Master Pistoleer is a good combo for Smuggler. Since pistol XP is a pre-req for Smuggler its a waste to just use it to get Smuggler than drop it. While I use TKA 90% of the time in combat, there are MOBs that are 100% resistant to the kinetic damage of the TKA so that's when having Master Pistoleer with its many different damage types (heat, energy, acid, etc..) come into play.
Dual wielding of pistols is supposed to be in-game at some point in time. SOE has said that they have finished the motion-capture of dual wield animations so they are definately moving forward putting it into the game.
Oh, another benefit I truly love having TKA is the ability to heal your own damage/poison/disease etc.. via the /meditate command. It is truly a great skill!
Hope this helps.

I've personally recently updated my template to:
Master Smugger
Pistoleer 4/0/3/0
Bounty Hunter 0/0/4/0
Positives: Pistol Speed of 90ish (don't have the figure offhand, I'm at work) which means with more or less any pistol with a speed of 3.2 or less I can hit any special at 1/sec. Combat spam mostly consists of /Lowblow; /Healthshot2; /Torsoshot; /Healthshot2; /Torsoshot;... etc. The combo knockdown/healthbleed/healthfire makes me fairly nasty in PvE, and I can do okay (not great) in PvP with the eyeshot. Also, the ability to select from Energy, Stun, Kinetic, Heat and Acid damage types means it's very flexible for PvE.
Negatives: This template REQUIRES me to be buffed. While the 1/sec is really nice, the HAM hits for the specials every second tear me apart unbuffed. For a while I was 0/0/2/0 pistoleer and had novice medic to try and keep me upright while unbuffed, but it was a losing battle - I was hitting a stim every 5th or 6th shot. So, I figured "what the heck, gonna need buffs anyway", dumped medic and picked up the dodge tree and the ranged mitigation 2 box in pistoleer. Also, the max Light AP is kind of a bummer when trying to hit any of the upper-tier dungeons with their cursed medium and heavy armor...
Not the perfect template for everyone by any means, but when it comes to pistols, I can darn near use 'em all, use 'em well, and use 'em FAST.
The only change I'm thinking of making is dropping the dodge line a bit and picking up novice commando so I can use the Launcher Pistol again, adding Blast damage to the already impressive range of damage types I can use...

Thax for the input. I like the whole TK, Pistoleer, and smuggler professions. Now next question is what should I migrate the stats to?

If you are going triple master (M. TKA/Pistol/Smuggler) the best thing to do is max out Mind, thenwith what is leftAction, Health being the lowest. TKA uses alot of mind and when you power booost the higher your mind stats the better your power boost. There are a few down sides:
1. no medic skills, but with meditate you wont miss it much
2. no scout skills, but with a pet or ride, again you wont miss it much.
3. no fighting unless you are buffed, but when buffed and using food/brandy and spice, well....lets just say i solo battle droids with no worries.
I love this temp and for me it is the best for smuggler (again thats just me).

Regarding the soloing of battle droids, do you mean the super battle droids on the corvette?

I'll throw another combination in.
Master Smuggler, Master Rifleman, Exploration 4 (run like the wind
)
if anything catches me, i'll resort to a bit Dirty Fighting.
I really like Rifles, taking them out from a distance, planning is the key rather than 'get in there!' kinda attitude! lol
the best use of skill points is obviously the Triple Master, but you really should think about how you like to play the game, what you actually 'do' in game... then pick a suitable proffession to make your time a more pleasureable experience!
have fun
Tazo Salguod
(nearly Master Smuggler)
