Sorry, Woo, but you can only buy up to 500 max to keep for yourself. And that's 500 max in your pool. You can't buy past it. So if you already have 500 or more FP's you can't buy anymore.

Somewhere up in the stickies at the top of this Forum is DrevenStrobes Guide to Buying and Selling Faction Points.
Like the previous poster said, you cannot stockpile FP by buying them. You can buy them in chunks of 125 from a recruiter but only if you have less than 500. At that point you have to delegate them to someone else before buying more.
So to sell thousands of FP to someone else, you basically stand at a recruiter and buy, buy, buy, delegate, buy, buy, buy, delegate... rinse & repeat.
And your RANK is very important. You dont want to do that if you are not a high rank imp/rebel.

For better value, simply delegate 106 faction to your customer at colonel level. This takes up the full 125 faction per 10k purchase and allows for extra profit.
For example: Say your price is a reasonably cheap 125 per point. That works out at 13250 per trade with a 3250 profit to the smuggler, or 32k per 1060 points purchased. Not bad for a skill that requires nothing but your smuggler skills and a short amount of time.
