Thread: Failed ANOTHER scan!

Master Smuggler for 8-9 mos and I just failed my second of 3 scans in the last week which puts me close to 50/50 overall now on failed scans. Anyone else having similar results at master? Is this just something else they lied to us about or bad luck?

nope i never get scaned.
but then im an imperial col.
membership has its privleges! seriously though that is a problem if smugglers cant even do that lil bit of smuggling things need work.....the way i see it there are two ways to avoid failing a scan
A: dont carry contraband
B: be a smuggler and cross your fingers
and there is one way to avoid the scan alltogether
Be an Imperial of high rank

I've got a 6 clear scans in a row going. Can't remember when I last failed, but over a month ago I think. Overall, I say about 80% effective.

want messed? i had been scaned by a whole PLATOON at one go.. got a pic as well(see end of post) i got picked off my speeder, and watched in horror as 20 imps wanted a peice of the Wookkiee luv. weird thing is, seems i failed the scan ( had two sliced weapons on me) but i got the "move along".. wth?

heh, i've never ever failed a scan. every time i'm cleared. but then i haven't been scanned recently.
i just looked at your pic also. something caught my eye. Besides that you being screwed if you're found guilty lol, but you're status boxes for the skills you're going for. you have dirty fighting 1 under half way through while underworld one almost complete. now I know its been a LONG time since I mastered, but aren't Dirty Fighting and underworld both using Pistol XP to level up?

I for one, have never been scanned. In fact, I dont think I have ever seen anyone get scanned. Maybe i'm just lucky. Who knows.

When I was master smuggler i got scanned all the time, and never once failed. I guess I was just lucky.

Not a Master, but I tend to either avoid them when I'm not wanting to get scanned, or make passes past them when I DO want to be scanned. Usually I get bored of waiting for them to stop me, so I just end up killing them all anyway. Well, after I look around and make sure nobody's watching me of course.

I've had 2 scans in the past two weeks or so, and I passed them both.

that's right, they do.. but Underworld needs like 75k points, while iirc DF need twice as many..

Baobab, look at that pic you linked to... clearly the Imp was peeved that someone stole his pants and decided to take it out on you... it certainly looks like he's missing them...

Okay, here's why I think some of us Masters fail scanns.
- Weare highly ranked Rebels(for two weeks, I could not evade a scan, and was getting scanned constantly).
- We decide to try to run/get back onour rideafter being dismounted, which tips the scanners off.
- We hit a lag pocketwhile using autorun and/or get warped very far away from our ride when we are forced to dismount.
I mean, we've seen the design Documents, Master Smugglers have a 95% chance of evading a scan. To me, these seem to be the only reasons why we can't get away with this.
Also, I've noticed a trick to avoid fines if you do get caught with contraband(and not recognized asa Rebel, if you are one). If they catch you with contra band, and the window pops up to fine you, simply don't close it or hit OKAY, just get on you ride and leave, get at leasta kilometer away, and log out.

i faild a scan just last week.. but i was buffed... and had just bought a new gun... booya
