You knew it was coming, here is an analysis between the Master Smuggler/Pistoleer combo right now to the same profession combo in the CU. The stats I list are not all the modifiers you gain, but simply the ones that matter for the comparison. These stats are taken from the Skill Tree listing and may change for the Combat Upgrade. I've broken them down incase anyone is interested in the individual modifiers.

Here's what we have right now in the game:

Marksman - Novice + Pistols Branch

Pistol Accuracy: +40
Pistol Speed: +20
Ranged Defence: +2

Master Pistoleer

Dodge: +105
Pistol Accuracy: +45
Pistol Accuracy while Standing: +15
Pistol Accuracy while Moving: +30
Pistol Aiming: +16
Pistol Speed: +49
Melee Defence: +45
Ranged Defence: +5

Master Smuggler

Absolutly Nothing.

Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer

Dodge: +105
Pistol Accuracy: +95
Pistol Accuracy while Standing: +15
Pistol Accuracy while Moving: +30
Pistol Aiming: +16
Pistol Speed: +74
Melee Defence: +45
Ranged Defence: +7

Alright, now heres the Combat Upgrade Modifiers:

Marksman - Novice + Pistols Branch + Ranged Support Branch

General Ranged Accuracy: +30
General Ranged Speed: +5
Pistol Accuracy: +40
Pistol Defence: +20
Pistol Speed: +20
Melee Defence: +10
Ranged Defence: +25

Master Pistoleer

General Ranged Accuracy: +75
General Ranged Speed: +20
Pistol Defence: +30
Pistol Speed: +25
Melee Defence: +70
Ranged Defence: +60

Master Smuggler

General Ranged Accuracy: +45
General Ranged Speed: +25
Melee Defence: +40
Ranged Defence: +45

Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer

General Ranged Accuracy: +150
General Ranged Speed: +50
Pistol Accuracy: +40
Pistol Defence: +50
Pistol Speed: +45
Melee Defence: +120
Ranged Defence: +130

Now, it's very apperent that some skills have been given the slip such as Dodge, Pistol Accuracy while Moving/Standing, and Pistol Aiming. Pistol Defence is also added thankfuly, so we now have a defensive modifier just like many of the other professions. Another thing that seems to jump out at me is that the modifiers have been split into two catagories. General and Specific. General modifiers will add to all weapons of a certian catagory, such as General Ranged Accuracy and General Ranged Speed will count towards Pistols, Carbines and Rifles. Where as specific skills will count towards a specific weapon type, in this case, it's pistols. What does this do? This allows us to mix up professions and make combinations that will stack alot easier then it was previously. That also means that you can essentialy add the numbers up to get some wholloping results. Yes, I just said wholloping. Pistol Speed of +45 in the CU may not match the Pistol Speed of +74 that we have now, but add in the General Ranged Speed and you now have a Speed of +95 versus the +74 we have now. Look at that, we're actually faster. You'll also notice the real nice stats we get for Melee and Ranged Defence. This seems to all point towards a more cohesive combination for Pistoleers and Smugglers.

Now that we have looked at those stats, it is possible in the CU to take the Pistols Branch of Bounty Hunter ontop of those two.

Bounty Hunter - Pistols

General Ranged Accuracy: +17
General Ranged Speed: +9
Melee Defence: +40
Ranged Defence: +26

Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer/Bounty Hunter Pistols

General Ranged Accuracy: +167
General Ranged Speed: +59
Pistol Accuracy: +40
Pistol Defence: +50
Pistol Speed: +45
Melee Defence: +160
Ranged Defence: +156

That's right, look at that. Look at those lovely modifiers. There's something to look forward to until we get our Slicing/Smuggling Mission revamp.
