Does the driod do full damage and do the enemy armor help absorb any of the damage of detonation? Will the driods chase the player after countdown started?

I hear there is a 75% PvP reduction in its blast. I think all composites have blast protection, and a few armors do not. Against a fully buffed and armored player, I don't think it will do much.
Furthermore, I think the blast doesn't damage the owner in the blast either.
Commandos are ticked about the subject, becuase their grenades damage themselves yet droids don't hurt their owners. I've also heard of a guy taking out a medium block turret with only a few of those droids.... you thought giving Imperial immunity to scans got us mad? Smugglers and BH's are now commandos for free. If a smuggler can take out a turret just as easily as a commando.. I dunno.. something's wrong.

So the driods when detonate do blast damage? So on top of the 75% reduction (is it 75% less or is it doing 75% of the normal) in damage, the damage can be absorbed by their armor? What good is a Detonate driod in PVP then?... I bought a MSE that does about 4k damage, is it worthless? Are only the R3 driods worth anything at all in PVP?

In Popular PvP you find yourself against buffed/armored opponents thus an MSE is not going to help much, the nice thing about them is the wine AoE. They can be somewhat effective given multiple targets. The most efective for PvP is in the R3 droids.. they have enough HAM to survive at least one hit, if your target notices and they do enough damage to at least leave a large mark.
All in all its a rather expensive way to blow up an enemy, but I still use them cause they never expect it and thier reactions are normally rather funny.
