My template is Master TK, Master Brawler, Master Smuggler, and three boxes of Pistoleer combat xp. Anyone else have a similar template?
I am debating dropping Brawler, but I love Intimidate 2, Warcry2and Unarmed Lunge2 (nice to have a 20mKD attack). I have not used this char in PvP much since I got Master Smuggler, been using my Master Doc/Rifleman mostly. Any hints on when to switch from/to pistols/unarmed?
Is ranged damage mitigation automatic, or do I need to be holding a ranged weapon? Same with unarmed damage mitigation. Does melee defense and ranged defense stack, or is it dependant on the attack you are using?
Thanks!

My current template is Mstr Smuggler/Mstr Pistoleer, Nov Medic 0000, and TKA 4314. Used all 250 pts too
Anyway, you can definetely do more damage with TKM over Mstr Smuggler, I'd suggest dropping all of brawler but unarmed & putting it into Pistoleer. The dodge mods stack nicely with those from TKA. Not invincible, but enough to help. If you are brave, you can always do the 3 crown. TKM, Mstr Pistoleer, Mstr Smuggler.
Personally I like being able to heal myself. (Our guild doc makes some kick ass Stim B's, and BE clothes don't hurt.) Also once you work into Pistoleer you will see a big improvement in the number of hits your Smuggler DF specials do.

I can not be certain but thought I read they were changing it so you had to have the weapon held to get it's mit bonus. I personally would say unless you really hunt with ina group a lot and no other tanks there have Int II I would say drop Master Brawler. Warcry II isn't nearly as good as it use dot be unless you have good pvp group who knows how to work together. Int II is nice but even with that you won't kill a player in COMP and buffed before they can get back up. Now saying that, you might want to keep your mind open for the Combat Rebalance. With this many things will be changed and as this is done Int II might become more valued.

You all have it wrong. In order to be able to compete in PvP, you must master/combine Rifleman, Combat Medic, and/or Fencer. Duh.

Oh, and also, you have to dress up like Robo Cop and have a witch doctor magically increase your HAM/secondaries by 2500 for 3 hours.

Bamsee, I think that was proposed for the combat balance, but not implemented yet. Not sure though.
Master Brawler is sweet, but TKMs don't match up too well to fencers in PvP in my experience (played a Master Brawler, TKM for awhile). The dodge mods in pistoleerseem tooffer the competitive advantage if you're going up smuggler, or at least that is what I am banking on.
