...preceding an Imperial sting operation to break up a rare animal smuggling ring, smugglers on those planets have released formerly captive Gorax into the wild...

Whose organization was sloppy enough to get penetrated by the Imps?

Wasn't any of my people. For the last 3 weeks we've been hacking the identity files of the top CorSec and Fed-Dub informants.

C'mon, this is embarrassing. 'Fess up!

What gets me is that the smugglers are better creature handlers than actual creature handlersby being able to hang on to a triple-digit level creature

Ummmmm, it might have been me and a few mates. We took a little muon and pixie one night and decided to play musical FD with the gorax( last one to feign gets killed). Wedid that for a while then the downers started to kick in, and since we didn't feel to good we all went for a bit of a lie down.

I think we forgot to lock the cage again.............sorry

/chuckle Nice! A good punishment for narcs and such. Musical FD. Sounds like something Jabba would do.

On another note, little things like this Gorax Eventget my brain going on possible future Smuggler-based or Smuggler-involved story arcs . Like a "Cries of Alderaan" for smugglers. Maybe not that big but something with an interesteing premise.

Maybe one of your mates, Trioth, fearful of being arrested in the sting, could have hidden the location of a valuable cache' in a disk on one of the collars of the Goraxes. The cache' could be asecret slush fund that Bib Fortuna embezzled from Jabba.

Word could get around of the cache's exorbitant value, but not it's origin. Every crimelord in the Galaxy could hire Smugglers to track it down. Maybe even the Rebels, strapped for cash, would send a team led by Solo & Chewbacca to go after it. Then of course the Empire would send a team to stop the Rebels from gaining from this treasure, with a corrupt Moff anglinghis own designs on the prize.

Most of all, you've got Bib Fortuna, lekku in a twist, as the only being in the Galaxy who knows the cache's origin and trying to retrieve it before Jabba does an audit of his holdings! Fortuna's doing eveything he can torecruit his owncapable freelanceteam (i.e. we Player Smugglers) tofind the loot first (or steal it from whoever finds it,and eliminate them), then smuggle theloot back into Jabba's well guarded Treasure Vault.!

Hmm, something to think about.
