Thread: Triple master question no scout?

I can see your dilemma. I started another character before the helper droids, and really missed my exploration 4. Now that you can get a temporary speeder, and purchasing an x-34 isn't too hard, exploration isn't really a big deal to me. I still have it, but I'm waiting until I have to give it up

PvP wise, I tend to avoid PvP since I just moved into a new area with no DSL/Cable...so I'm on *whispers* dialup. Talk about lag...I don't want to ruin anyone else's game play, so I just stay away and solo...for now. When I did PvP it was usually in Anchorhead and it really didn't matter all that much as everyone was just standing around blasting.

My two cents.

Comyn, with vehicles around Terrain Negotiation isn't as vital as it used to be. At the very least, though, I would hold onto Exploration 1 so you at least won't be totally gimped while running up hills. As for PvP, I guess it depends on the area you're in. If there's hardly any hills then it won't matter; if there's a ton if hills you're screwed!

Planeseeker, a friend of mine is on dialup. He took my advice and just refers to himself as an "analog-purist" until he can get cable/dsl.

"analog-purist"

that is too funny. I'll have to remember that. Thanks Kaern.

Thanks for the input guys!

Planeseeker, I feel the pain - wasn't too long ago I was on dial-up, and its just a completely different experience. Now all I need is the good video card...

Quick question on the template- how bad is it not havingterrain negotiation? I've had explore III forever and can't see giving it up. Isn't the inability to move up terrain a severe disadvantage in PvP?

Thanks,

Having zero Terrain Negotiation isn't that bad, it doesn't effect PvE very much, and most PvP seems to take place in cities or other areas with flat terrain. It can be annoying though, having to spend a long long time walking up a hill.

Drop it...I've had it in the beginning but I found thatI don't need it now with vehicles. If you are really that worried about it just save up for a +25 terrain bandolier lol.

You get over not having terrain negotiation.

You get used to not having it and without the camp restrictions on vehicles you can just pull out a speeder if you need a quick ride. Also if you walk a kind of zig-zag pattern up hill you tend to move faster than just going straight up.

The only thing I have sometimes found I miss from scout is the ability to harvest creatures. Sometimes it would be nice to make a few easy k from selling avian meat.

actually, the answer is a lot simpler -- Travel Biscuits. Just find a chef to make you some. I have one with +16 Terrain Negotiation, and very low stomach filling (8, I think).

most PvP usually happens on the plains inside base house walls or flat city streets it doesn't affect the little pvp I do.
