I don't think the patch has gone live.... None of the changes are in that anyone has seen? Unless the pulled a load of them?

Alot of the patch notes dont work.... cant call pets from toolbar for example. They'll get them all working eventually.
Unless they come out say "oops...thats not at all what we meant" .... my faith for our revamp just went to zero.

I'm praying that they pulled that particular bit of crap out of the patch.

This line in the patch notes came as a complete shock to me as well... and i've been playing test center daily and slicing away just fine. In fact, after seeing the screaming in this forum this morning I went back and made sure I wasn't doing anything odd... and I just slliced 4 weapons without pulling PLKs, WUKs or Clamps.
So I don't really know **edit** is up with the patch notes.
That said.... I would NOT have any problem like this if the change was only for PLKs. Hell, we've been asking for that change for a year now, and I'm more pissed that they're teasing us with a fake change then I am with a real one.
P.S. This line item never, to my knowledge, appeared on any of the daily TC fix lists, otherwise I would have tested it and figured out what was up a long time ago.

It's pretty cool though that we're getting the attention we deserve.
I mean instead of fixing the profession so it's more fun to play or have more things to do...lets make it more annoying to slice!! YES! Hey I have an idea, next time they should make it so slicing can only be done between 1 and 2am est on friday nights while standing under next to a slicing machine that can only be used by one smuggler on the server at once which is located at the bottom of the dwb? What, too extreme?
I love pointless 'fixes' like this. MUCH better to make it so we have to take the tool out of the crate since tool quality matters so much. Don't want to have that 99.5% tool counted the same as one made with garbage metal!

Inwo (and many others) - You're all missing the freakin point.
We have been askign for a fix to precision laser kinves for a YEAR. I can't say what their intention is here totally because there doesn't seem to be any code behind the line in the patch notes, but we'd all be collectivly jumping for joy and praising the devs for LISTENING if that line item didn't read as ambiguous as id does and instead read PLKs....
"You will no longer be able to slice an item by using a precision laser knife tool in a crate. You will have to remove it from the crate first."
So, in the interest of living through the day, lets give things a bit of time (at least enough for the staff to get INTO THE FREAKIN OFFICE, before we all go ape**edit** in here.
