What is the best profection to go with smuggler, is pistal the best choice?

I am a fully rangedsmuggler withmaster pistoleerand theranged support line. This serves me fine in most situations, and I can hold my own in places like the DWB even when getting pounded on, thanks to the melee mitigation from smuggler. No, I am not as good a tank as a TKM, but it leaves me skillpoints to play with while working Jedi. And not only that, but dabbling in medic has saved group-mates many a time when spot healing is called for. If you like pistols, something along these lines may serve your needs.

well pistol or TKA are the best from a skill point point of view.
past that it's a matter of personal choice. I really like Pistols

oh ... one thing...
Smuggler does get a few pistol specials but no unarmed ... so that may factor into your decision.
You'll get the accuracy and such from the other professions 
so either way your gonna rely on which ever you chose more so than smuggler. Lowblow is a very nice skill to have I've found.
