  1. LET SMUGGLERS, SMUGGLE!!!

    • Smuggler Missions:

      • Every minor faction (Hutt, Swoops, Demon, etc) and the GCW Factions would issue standard missions that require the transportation of goods (resourses, weapons, armor, suppiles) from one city to another.
      • Aslo, Players that have Harvestors on other planets (other then their Residence) would not be able to get the Resources and would have to Hire a Smuggler to pick up and drop off the resources

        • To do this, there would be Specific Smuggler Terminals within the factions bases (Jabba's palace would have one and the smuggler would have to run the needed missions to get into the inner circle) or Player Cities (for Player Placed Missions). Once there, they can get a missions that will require them to goto a city(or Harvestor)and pick up the cargo.
        • After they get the Cargo, they have to goto a series of "waypoints" that would require at least 3 Planet jumps and 3 city jumps.

          • For Player Missions, they could have to visit many harvestors in order to get all the needed resources, the player would give the Waypoints of thier harvestors

        • During this time, the Smuggler will be TEFed to "Guardsmen" (more to come on them).
        • To complete the missions, and get paid, the Smuggler has to succesfully navigate through the cities and planets without getting caught.

          • If they do not get caught, they get paid thier fee for the mission.
          • If they get caught (by Gaurdsmen) they either fight thier way out or lose thier cargo

            • To many lost cargo's will result in a Bounty
            • If the Smuggler "loses" his cargo and that cargo was for a Player Mission the Resources would not be lost but be returned to the extractor and another Smuggler woud have to pick up that mission

        • Smugglers will see Guardsmen on their Radar as BLACK dots within 50m (see below to know what a Guardsmen)

          • If the City you are in is to heavly patroled, you may want to try and other starport first and come back when the activity is not as alerted to your activity.

  2. Create NEW FACTION PROFESSIONS

    • Guardmen (Faction Troopers)

      • Requires:

        • Master Squad Leader& Master Pistoleer / Master Carbineer / Master Riflemen
        • Faction Rank of Sergaentor higher

      • Profession Purpose:

        • This profession's purpose is to patrol a city making sure there are no illegal activity going on. Guardsmen are assigned a city that they are responsible to patroling and they gain faction points for thier service and if they get a bonus with they uncover illegal activity.
        • Guardsmen, while partoling thier assigned city, will have TEF on any Smugglerthat has cargo, when they get within 30m and TEF on any Inflitrator (within 30m)that is on a mission. It is important that Gaurdsmen do not just focus their efforts on the starport, as a Infiltrators Pick-Up and Drop-Off points can be anywhere within the city (player citys are not included in this).
        • Guardsmen could also be Stromtroopers or Rebel Soldiers. While on Duty their purpose would be to keep the city safe from unwanted activity

    • Infiltrator

      • Reguires:

        • Master Ranger & Master TKA / Master Fencer / Master Pikemen / Master Swordsmen
        • Faction Rank of Sergaent or higher

      • Profession Purpose:

        • This profession's purpose is to is to use breach enemy strongholds. They use thier "Ranger" skills to locate and retrieve hiden information that is located inside an enemies City that is guarded by the Guardsmen.
        • Specific Missions, from Faction Bases, wouldrequire Inflitrator's to have to go to an enemy strong hold and locate several "boxes" that contain information needed by thier Faction. The need to do everything they can to not get discoverdasgetting killed woould resultintermination of the missions and lose of thier cargo.

  3. BOUNTY HUNTERS!

    1. Removed from the GCW, they to can get Bounties from different Factions

      • These missions only apply to Master Bounty Hunters
      • Just like the Smugglers, Bounty Hunters would have to get in the "inner circle" of the faction in order to get access to the Bounty Hunter Terminal.
      • Bounty's would be for:

        • Smugglers thatlose to much Cargo
        • Guardsmenthat are TOO effective at finding and confiscating cargo
        • Jedi's of course
        • Inflitrator's that are caught inside enemy areas

      • Bounty Hunters have the option of declairing that they are on the "payroll" for a faction

        • They can only do this for 2 factions
        • You can only run Bounties for the Faction you are employed by
        • This will also give you access to "perks" bonus rewards
        • You will also be able to run NPC missions
        • Faction NPC missions will not available to Bounty Hunters who are not on the "payroll"
        • Faction NPC missions pay 50K per mission (twice the normal NCP mission)

      • BEWARE, Guardsmen can and will detect you and they do not like Bounty Hunters in thier city!

        • Guardsmen can "stop" you, as they do not want your kind in thier city

This seems familiar. Did you post this once before on the BH boards rYsyn? I'll have to go back and look at my replies from then if so.

No longer holding out hope, SWG will never be the game we fought so hard for, that we believed so much in. Farewell friends.

I liked the idea before, but there is one thing that really just glares at me. Smuggling is the transportation of ILLEGAL goods, not all goods. The idea seems sound, with this exception.

In the proposal as it stands I believe that too much emphasis is placed on other players relying on Smugglers, and I am not real certain that players would enjoy the Infiltrator and Guardsmen professions, but then again no one ever will be unless it is tried.

It is only "Illegal" from the Imperial standpoint as they would want some form of a TAX on it. I wouldn't consider anything other then Contraband and that applies to the Rebels as well (although you can name it what ever you want)

I was just trying to express a process for doing it, SOE could changes the details around if they wanted to, I'd just be happy with some ACTUAL CONTENT!!
