Thread: Can anyone be nice and update the pirate?

Ive been out working all week on the boat, and all my forums are a mess. I come onto smuggler and all I see is serious threads, jedis are getting another respec, and something about no smuggler or any other profession fixes for that matter?
Is publish 18 really just a respec? Can one of the regulars give me an outline of w tf is happening in this game

Everyone gets a respec. If "publish" 18 fixes anything its not listed in the TC notes, or its a stealth fix. We aren't getting a publish dedicated to us, however we have promises from not one, but two(!!!) devs promising us that we will be fixed. They did not give us an exact date, but told us that the slicing portion is finished and making its way through QA. The general feeling is publish 19 or shortly thereafter, but once again they did not promise that it would be any particular time except "Soon™". AOE still isn't fixed. Elemental isn't fixed despite what the patch notes say, although they are testing a solution internally. We don't really know what if anything is being fixed/nerfed in this publish and it all happens at 4am on the 15th.
The Jedi and BH's are whining. The Commando's are proper *bleep*ed. The smugglers are still drunk and maintaining the "wait and see" attitude. Melee people are griping because they bring knives to gunfights. Ranged people are griping because they are getting nerfed. Crafters recently got a fix thats been needed since day one, but so many other things are currently borked that they can't fart without doing a bug report. Veela is a Hottie. Tiggs needs to pounce me.
