Thread: bria smugglers warning about player
I play on bria and it seems a lot of people (not all)are ignorant rudeFother muckers- thanks for warning though
I am a Bria player myself, and someone tried pulling that fraud attempt on me as well. When performing slices these days I never click accept until I examine all the weapons in the trade window. If I see a weapon that's already been altered, I inform the player and close the trade window. If I see that weapon in the next trade window, I tell him again and close the window.
If he pulls the stunt again thinking it'll work, I accept the trade and destroy the weapons; then I place the player on /addignore.

Sounds like i'm gonna have to start doing the same.
tralita_tusnami wrote:thanks for the warning: i have a simmilar method of informing people who are on the BLACK BALL list. i have about 150 smugglers in my friends list, i send a group mail out about every 2 weeks just for looks and snuggles, but i also use the list to hold events and inform all the smugglers of potential BLACK BALLS. if you havent gotten a mail from me send a ingame mail to Tralita on Bria ill add you.
Black Balls, it's what happens when someone gets LowBlowed too many times
I dont slice for anyone cept guildies.
its too much of a hassle
and nobody ever apreciates it even when it was working properly. You get a 35% spd slice and some jack azz says "thanks for ruining my gun buddy lol Im not paying you for that noob" blah blah
/shrug
he argued that i was lying and that i had got a 0% slice. he said that his alt had just made the weapon and he knows it's not sliced.
he argued for a bit in front of a couple of my friends then left.
just wanted to let you guys on bria know
I'm a master smuggler on Bria also. Mastered it 3 times since launch, 4 if you including respecing back to it. I've run into that guy Bulls too. He's a real a$$. I have a graphics bug since I installed a cyber arm where my other arm is invisible when I have armor equiped on it. People ask about it and I like to say "I lost it in a bet". He saw me and demanded to know how I did that. I gave my usual line and he started cussing at me. My last message to him was /ignore, heh. Idefinatly suggest avoiding him.

Surprisingly. I've been a Master Smuggler on Bria for over a year and have yet to get one of the customers from hell people complain about. In fact I've met some pretty cool people through slicing for the public.
Well, thats always a treat to hear.
Actually - Me too - I do get my share of idiots - But not downright jerks.
Yeah it's not cool Bria has such a bad repuatation.
I much like Zazo, would only slice for guildies. It was too much trouble slicing for the general population.
Iwas a reputable Smuggler, I was with my old toon and I will be with this new one. While Bria has become home to so many rude obnoxious people, it's par for the course with any MMO on it's most crowded server.
My suggestion would be as a Smuggler trying to use Slicing as a means to turn a profit should know ahead of time it's not always going to go well. Put together an email listing what could go wrong, as well as what to expect. For any potential customer, ensure you send them that mail and make sure they read it before ever choosing to trade. When I was bored and looking to socialize, I would turn on the Master Smuggler title and the tells would pour in. I would send the "template" mail and for the most part, it saved me a great deal of argueing and would avoid the potential for bad vibes between ignorant people.
With so many scammers, it's worth a little effort to try and avoid nonsense by putting a little extra work into preparing for a life of Smuggling.
