Alright - Ill keep it short and sweet.

Whyis the game mechanic of Player Bounties, where one player hunts another player, being tested on two Professions, where one, by its very nature, is designed to be more powerful than any other profession in the game? Does anyone follow me onthis? Does anyone see any logic in this?

This is not an official statement, though Im positiveIve read official statements on more than one occassion that basically say this- "Bounty Hunters hunt Jedi. We will balance the two professions so that Bounty Hunters can successfully hunt and kill their Jedi targets. Later, once that has been dealt with, we will implement this game element to the rest of the Professions." -

Did they forget that if Bounty Hunters were balanced against Jedi, that they would naturally become more effective in combat against anything that isnt another Bounty Hunter or Jedi? Does this make anyone wonder why pretty much everyone in the game thatcares about PvPis a Bounty Hunter or a Jedi? Could it be because everything else is at best, merelya complimentary Profession? Could it be because to accomplish what BH does in one Profession, you woul dneed two others?

I post these questions here because I feel like this entire game element would have been much more suited for Smugglers to have taken the place of Jedi in this matter. Its just the way it should be. How on Earth could they expect to have anything balanced, when two of the Professions are designed to be at constant war with each other, and one was designed to be 1.5 times more powerful? How does this make anything balanced with the rest of the Professions?

Everytime I duel someone in PvP, they almost always... almostevery single time have BH in their template. Why is that do you think? I took a look at their Abilities last night, and their Mods really arent anything to brag about, but no one isJUST a Bounty Hunter. Their attacks are like Damage, Mez, and Tank, all built into one. Most common template I come across - MBH/MCM/blah blah blah.... Basically, they can self sustain themselves against anything in PvP. They might not always win, true, but they rarely lose. I know BHs are supposed to be like, bad dudes and stuff. But when BHs were saying, "BH SUCKS! We shoul dbe more powerful..." they didnt mean more powerful than everything else. They meant more powerful... because they DID suck.

I just dotn understand this. I really dont. Things just arent right. I am too tired to write about how to fix them too. Ive done too much pleading on these forums. I just dotn understand this at all. Why would they put an element onto Jedi, when first of all they dont even want it and avoid it at all costs, second, theyre designed to be more powerful, and thirdly, dont really need anything from anyone, when there are (well, there would be if things werent as they are) plenty of Smugglers that DO want it, BEG for it, have WAITED for it, andDONT get it?I dont understand it.

Heh... assuming that they actually made it possible for smugglers to get on the BH terminals. In my eyes it would be awesome. I would use concussion and panicshot and just run like hell. Just like any smuggler with enough style would do. And then, someday, I would have so many hunters on my ass that they would finally kill me, or bring me to the authorities (if such a system could be made) and I would pay my fees, spend a month in jail, whatever, and it would be soooo cool. It would add something to the smugglers. More content. The question is, what should we do to get on the terms, once (if) the system is implemented?

Jedi are seriously underpowered. They need a snare, invisibility, a ranged nuclear attack and a flying mount that farts fire

I really hope that was a joke and/or a rhetorical question....

And abuot Bounty Hunters beeing out of balance. That is not true. I'm master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer, and I've won duels against MBH/Mastrer Carabineers and other MBH hybrids. It takes time, yes (from 5-20 minutes), but with the proper application of panic/concussion shot, they hardly stand a chance. Too bad that they most of the time get tired of not doing anything, and just /endduel before I can chew them up.
So... my point is that with good knowledge of your template, the right buffs, spices and foods you can "easily" beat a Bounty hunter profession. The only proffesion I haven't beaten up in 1 on 1 duels is jedi (since they're all Master defenders and I -miss- them all the time).
