I gave up smuggler finally, but I still have a half dozen crates of Wuk's and AUK's. I figured I'd pull a WUK from a crate to see what it converted into. Well, it came out as a WUK. WTH? I thought it was supposed to be converted to a toolkit at least. Is this a new bug or do you actually have to be a smuggler for the conversion to work?

Convert is on the radial menu after you pul the WUK.

open the raial on the pulled tool and a convert option should pop up...takes a bit longer than the other buttons sometimes.

not sure if only Smugglers can do it or not

I'll be really impressed if anyone gets a 'convert' option on any radial menu anywhere related to the old kits.

Actual option is "salvage".

I do not get the 'salvage' option in my menu. I am on Starsider... I have several hundred AUK/WUKs that I could salvage.

It's still ridiculous to have to loot items to slice... I'm sure Han and Chewbacca killed a bunch of random things for the components to modify the Falcon.

Does that work with Clamps and Knives as well, or just the Upgrade Kits? May just be it taking forever or something for the option to pop up

I'm so glad I still have like 10 crates of 50 AUKs and WUKs. Gives me a bunch of slicing items.

But yeah, just click and hold or right-click on the item, and wait for the salvage button to come up. Click it and it'll turn the item into a random slicing piece.
