Unapologetically stolen from a thread over there, and I don't have a link.
A big factor in the game is unbalance with the AT-ST
A massive disappointment in the game is the Jawa trader POI
What about if occasionally, and we're talking very occasionally, the Jawa traders were to have in their possession, factional itmes. We're talkingfurniture, armour pieces(they couldbe battle scarred, or ranked etc), AT-STs, uniforms, weaponry, banners etc This would allow the Smugglers out there willing to invest time in going there and sifting through the Jawa garbage to come out with rare factional items for sale to the general public.
How cool would that be?
You could even extend it by adding on unique items that are unavailable anywhere else. Unique weapons, decorations, clothes, furniture, jewellery, house skins etc
Only available fromdedicated Smugglers willing to spend hours going through Jawa clutter.
I think it's a fantastic idea, and I'm going to devote my time to bumping this, unless someone can convince me it's actually a sh:te idea.

wow, super idea. I've been out there TWICE in the close to two years I've been playing, once before the Sanford & Sons game, once after. I would be out there like 24 hours a day lol
BUT! there would have to be some method to prevent camping. How bout, trade in 10 items, you get to check the back room, and MAYBE something's in there, maybe not, but after you look you arent allowed to look in the back room again for 24 hours? Or you can but it will be empty for you?

Or
One of the Jawas has an item of value.
You have to talk to them all to find the one who has, say,a piece of Vader's crashed TIE. He wants something specific for it - he wants on object dropped by meatlumps, or chunkers. One of those handstats or binoculars. Or a Nyax necklace. Or holocron splinters. Make the trade you have to complete a random pick from the game loot table. Might be something amazingly common, might be something impossibly rare. But that Jawa wants it, and will trade his TIE fight bit for it. So you have say a week to get it - racing against every other Smuggler onthe server - to track it down and grab it.
And yeah, you'd have to make the timing, the loot and particular Jawa with it random.

Not sure I like the idea of the loot necessary being rare. I think a timed gate on it would keep the camping down, maybe combine the two? Timed gate and an item from a repeatable quest. I don't like the idea of needing a specific looted item, as that would encourage loot grinding IMHO.
there's a thought. Maybe, like Smugglers' deadbeat points, we could have like, trading points, the more deals you make with them, the more points you get, and then you can trade the points for cash or use them to buy your way into the special items section?

/sign even seas, would be cool. Soemthing to just give us an equivalent of high end loot.. Shame we dont get increased loot drops anywyas, being smugglers.. therfore being good at finding concelaed objects, since we would do a fair amountof concealing ourselves.

I like the idea of the trader points, here's a different way to go about it. First, you cannot have negative Jawa faction. Second, call the trader points reputation. "He always brings in the good stuff, lets let him take a look in the back."
Now, the rewards can be great, such as a Decommisioned AT-ST(non-factional scout walker only slightly weaker than the Imperial variety), or you can crap out and get a CDEF that does three times as much damage as normal. While that'd be great for a newbie, its nothing a Smuggler would be able to make use of without selling.
God, its good to no longer be double-banned.
