Well... I didn't have a cockpit before...

Yes, I, Tyas Duskchaser, gnortslayer extrordinair have returned after a years absence from the game.

Several million credits poorer (houses didn't auto extract from a bank when I quit), I am building my way back up to Master Smuggler.

Right now all I need is pistol xp, I've got Master Marksman, the BH Pistol Tree, and Dirty Fighting III (And Underworld II but that is not important to the discusion). Where would be a good place for me to hunt? I'm not exactly wealthy these days, but I can afford head armor, buffs, and the like. I'm thinking Rori (Tortons), but it's been a while

Also, are there any new 'gotcha's' I ought to be aware of. I've already been blasted back to the cloning center twice by ST's, so I know the crackdown is still going on... tossed my sliced stuff in the bank till time to get serious.

If there's an existing thread for old timers catching up (summary of smuggler specific changes in the last year?) point me at it and I'll dig in. Already went through the faq.

Well I'm off to find a quiet spot on Tatooine to put a house down... and a Tat house

Btw I must say I really do enjoy JTL... very nice expansion.

ITs pretty simple, but you may have a slightly harder time since you dont have Fanshot from pistolier tree.

Kinetic Composite armour = 150k-250k (depends on your server)
Full Doc buff = 10k
Crate of Vasarian brady = 75k

Good speed sliced pistol = 10k-25k (scatter or FWG5 in your case)
Crate of speed pups = 2k

Then go find a solo group usualy on Dant and get Hurooton missions and spam ..... hmm I guess pointblankarea1 for you or just take them out individualy.

You will getbetween 2-4k per kill depending on what level of Hurroton it is ( matriac or stalker etc).

You should be able to grind up to last ditch in one buff session once you get the hang of it.

My best route for getting experience is to kill all the hostile NPCs by the Abandoned Rebel Base on Dantooine. I could easily hit a Tier 4 in a single buff session there due to so many Grauls , Voritor Lizzards, Dantarii, and rogue Jedi-wannabes spawning around it. Your server may vary, and some days, they just don't wanna spawn, but I picked up Master Pistoleer there one skill box a day, working on it on and off. Just don't anger any Graul Marauders that may happen by.

Now if I can just get the sith to stop bothering me...
(The force was with me the moment they put in the patch to change the req's... I had most of the badges in game at the time)

Fun to be back. Just cut a deal for 100k yesterday... missed the smuggler lifestyle.

Besides. 1 skill box in smuggler. I got... 11 others that day. No, 13.

I've been away too long, is there any way to get imp faction up to around 0 without resigning reb and running imp missions? I let someone try out my character for a day after I quit last time, and I just realized he ran reb missions all day... -5k imp faction.

I don't think I can buy faction anymore at -5k.(Not quite there yet anyway)

Find an Imperial Smuggler and buy yourself off the wanted posters.

I thought /delegatefaction only worked to other members of your faction... but ok, I'll check into that.
