Ok, I know I'm not the only one who hates the new toolbar icons. I disliked them on Test and kept my fingers crossed that we'd have the option to switch back to the classic design if we wanted. Since the answer to that was "No", I was a little upset at my lack of options. This isn't a gamekiller for me, but still.

So, after loging on to the game for the first time after the CU went live and seeing that my toolbar now looked like someone threw up on it after eating a box of crayons, I had to sit back and work the system to my own benefit. I'm a smuggler, this is what I do. I poked around my Options screen and then my Abilities screen and, low and behold, the answer appeared.

The Macros still give you the option of using some of the "classic" icons when contructing new macros. So, I just whipped up a bunch of one line macros to replace the skills I could and now my toolbar looks much better. I was even able to remake Feign Death into the classic "Oh No! I'm About To Die!" face rather than the ugly skull/flesh icon that it has now.

I haven't tried to replace any of the attack specials yet, but I'm assuming that they may not display the timer corectly if I use another icon. I might try this the next time I'm in-game, but if anyone else has had some luck with it, let us know. At least my toolbar looks 50% better now than it did when I first got back.
