I'm a Master Smuggler working on Pistoleer. I need a level 57-60 spawn that doesn't aggro and isn't social (meaning when I shoot one they all come running at me at once). I can't seem to find any so far. Every mission I get has either grey cons and I get no xp, or social mobs that all attack me at once. Surely there exists a way for people to still solo in this game and get xp. I tried taunt to pull one away from the rest, but it doesn't always work. About 50% of the time, after using Taunt, it will not let me switch back to a ranged weapon and I die.

Try taking Torton missions from the terminals on Rori. The big things don't seem to mind if you stand right next to their lair and blow the bejeezus out of their herd mates while they wait their turn. They have no ranged attack so it's pretty much a root, blast, re-root, dead type strategy game. Once in awhile, you might get another coming at you while blasting your current target, but it's rare and easily solved by rotting that one until you're finsihed. I've been taking on tortons in the 62-65 lvl range, but there are lower lvl torts out there for you blasting pleasure.

Xps have been between 3.5 - 4.6k a kill and the missions pay 6-7k (10k sliced).

Here's a tip:

When social creatures are clumped together, chances are they are marching around a little and all facing different directions. Walk up cautiously to the group at such an angle that only one of them is facing towards you (this is easier than it sounds).. When the "?" pops up above their head, start heading in the opposite direction. In a moment the "!" will come up and they will start chasing you.Once you have led the spawn 50m from the cluster, fire off a concussion shot, stopping shot, snare shot, or whatever and start blasting away at them.

Rinse and repeat until the spawn group is finished. Just make sure you are attacking creatures without ranged attacks.

Thanks. I also found that lesser plains bols don't aggro and aren't social. Pretty easy kills, if anyone else is having this problem.

Along the lines of the above question, whats the best way and place to get xp when starting out on the way to smuggler? (ie: unarmed and pistols and combat) ???
