I am running around being my master smuggler, pistoleer self, and a jedi wants to duel a guy I am hanging with. my friend is recharging force, so I step in to pass the time. The jedi agrees to a friendly, but only on the condition that I do not root him.... Now, I think these jedi are missing the boat? Isnt our purpose as ranged to run and keep distance from melee. Take into account that a smuggler and pistoleer both arent huge dps classes, we exist to mes, support, and annoy the foe. But I let it go and duel him anyways. The child born out of wedlock(why cant i use this word) knocks me down, then uses some force root on me and tries to have his way with me, but i hammer all of my state attack and fanshot, get him close enough and use last ditch. jedi do not like last ditch, he still had 2/3 of his health bar, I had barely any. It ended in a double incap. /shrug

Moral of story: Timing your last ditch right is important.

That's weird, I swear I've got b astard in one of my threads somewhere... hmmm, anyway,

I think the moral of the story isn't about last ditch, it's that if a Jedi tells you not to root, tell him where he can stick his lightsaber.

Ya know the art of any smuggler is deception. Satisfy him by saying you wont use root and then spam it to high heaven!

Yeah, seeing the term"women" used as an insult is in itself insulting.

As for the rest, I agree , should have either said "no, if I can't root, forget the duel" or said yes and root anyway. lol

I must say I didn't get the 'women' comment at all.

I know women martial artists that could easily make you cry and blubber begging for mercy. I probably now a dozen more that I'd gladly bet could outperform you athletically. And then there are the cutthroat women executives I know that I'd wager make a hell of a lot more money.

In fact I'd bet my 11 year old competitive gymnast daughter can get to the top of an un-knotted rope with her legs held in pike faster than you can. Or can you do 1,000 crunches in a row? How about handstand pushups?

You need a different perspective on women.

When my friend hits his thumb with his hammer and cries, I call him a "puss". Where do you think the origin of that word comes from. Who cares if you know a women that can beat him up lol. Half of the English language can be considered sexist or racist hehe.

And I agree people thatmake rules like that are "pusses". I got in one on TC where the guy was a melee. His rules were simple stand there dont run and take my beating, sadly I still won.

Yea "puss" is sexist. It has no more place in conversation than calling someone a woman in an insulting manner. Like I said, pansy. simply refers to a flower, so while it has roots in a more innapropriate context, it can be removed from that meaning. Pantywaist, despite how it sounds, does NOT refer to women's clothing. It's a now defunct form of smallchildren's clothing. Not everything comes from. Wimp also works.
