When doing the Clone War Armor quest as a neutral, you have to travel to Wayfar to learn Huttese from a guy in the cantina. My question is does it get added as a known language that you can speak or does it just allow you to move along on the quest?

I've got Underworld I and haven't seen anyone use it in game yet, but I'd love to pick it up just for the RP factor. Heck, I'd macro cuss words into Huttese for fun.

Anyone know the answer? Or be willing to teach me it on Starsider?

Sadly I think it's just part of the quest, you don't actually "learn" huttese. There is a space quest from a space station that you can only get when you have UW1 and understand whats he's saying. The other use is talking to the Jawas at the Jawa camp. You can also use it to listen to Twi'lek who are speaking in Lekku. Last thing, it only allows you to comprehend what they are saying, it doesn't actually let you speak those languages.

I was hoping for a new language to add. I already knew about UW 1, that's why I was looking to learn it if it was a new language. So I could cuss in it as well as understand it. Guess it's back to the Jawa Junk sale

type /L to see the list of languages you understand and speak.

Huttese would be so cool - a language for smugglers only (assuming other people dont do the quest.

I thin kwe should all start talking Rodhese or somehting - just for us Smugglers.

Huttese ought to be in your list of language "comprehensions" but you can't speak it. You just swing it like Han, you speak basic to jabba, jabba speaks huttese to you, and you understand each other.

I swear they speak to me... tell me to do eeevil things... like hate jedi... drink jawa beer... "sample" my products... and *gasp* shave my wookie!

It IS feasible that if a csr was willing, they could teach us to speak huttese.

As was mentioned a long long time ago, we should have trader's argot for a select few profession masters, including smuggler, merchant, and perhaps bh.
