Thread: Accuacy VS Defense

Ok, I just reworked my template, and dropped my BH tree and scout alltogether. My current plan is to become 4-0-0-0 commando, and 0030 carbineer.
The logic being that with BH I used improved underhanded to KD opponents, so the carbineer skill will pick that up at impv level anyway.
the concern is that I lose about 20 accuracy off of my template. But I gain about 40 to melee def and Ranged defense, putting both well over 230(cant remember exactly). Do you guys think thats fair trade because I do not understand how the defenses work in the new system, other than more is better

As far as I know, there's some debate as to whether the defences actually mean squat.
But I think we do know that Acc not only increases hit % but also hit strength. I'd opt for Acc, personally.

doesn't the 0400 line of Commando give general ranged acc?
i could be mistaken.
but if it does, why not take that line and keep both acc and def?
and about defenses, i've heard sooooooo many different things about how they work, and where they cap.
i like to believe that my 265 melee def, 280 ranged def (when i'm wearing my BE suit, 2 Aukuan rings, and holding a pistol) is actually worth something.
but who the hell knows...

I kind of want a ranged KD though or else I would go straight commando

you can stillkeep the Carbineer 0030 for the ranged KD, but i think the second line in Commando offers general ranged accuracy in addition to defenses.

The CURB has supposedly introduced "diminishing returns" instead of artificial caps.

So basically we are punished for being outstanding...this is just like harrison bergeron, except we have jedis running around killing all the equal people..
