I just came back to the game after not playing for a long time... before badges. I was a master smuggler when I left, but I have no badges for it. Do I have to drop master and re-gain it?

probably your best bet. I'd bank the 1 mil for it BEFORE you drop though, just to make it that much easier.

Yeah, I have been master for so long now I'd hope I am maxed out.

well the cap used to be 900k, but since the CU, for pistol xp, it's up at 1.5 mil lol.

you can still respec? well, they reactivated master badges so you should get it right away.

Yeah, I only came back about a week ago. I tried selling and re-gaining my master box and nothing happened. I'm betting that profession badges are disabled while your respec is active. I'll let you know if I find out more. It sucks that I EARNED my master box with slicing xp and spicing xp but I still don't get my badge. =(

Not til his respec ends. I didn't get my MSmugg/MCM badges until last night when my respec period ran out.

So if you're still in respec, you won't get the badge. Just keep it... you don't have to play games with dropping and retraining... you'll just get badges for anything you have mastered when the respec period is over for this character.
