Thread: Just got a new gun-is it worth slicing now or waiting?

I've heard around the forums that slices in the new system will go out of tune after a while, so they have to be sliced again. Will the weapons sliced pre-Revamp stay sliced permanant, or will they also go out of tune and have to be sliced again if that's the case?

Hmm, I haven't heard any of that before, interesting concept though... Word is, slicing in getting handled over the next 2 pubs, so I guess we'll find out soon.

I'd wait. As of now, slices aren't that fantastic on 270dps weps anyway.

While this is true of the In Concept docs, we've heard the system under construction varies in some ways from that document, and not specifically how. So this may or may not be the case.

Me personally...I try to tell my customers to wait. Honestly though, due to caps in place on weapons anyway I dunno if it really would matter or not. The Dev's really don't want overpowered weaps in game and IMHO I think they won't change slicing to improve guns over their pre-determined caps.
Now the reason I would wait is because *possibly* we will get to choose the slice type, but again this is rumor and we just won't know till the dev's put down a semi-set in stone "this is what will happen" revamp doc.

I love my new DC15 rifle. But it's still below my T21.
I'm no idiot, I know slicing isnt as good on high level guns as it is on low level. But I'm not entirely clear as to the future of Smugglers.
So is it worth me slicing this gun now or waiting until I can make it really worthwhile?

Wait.... Slicing is supposedly getting fixed soon.
