Thread: Have you ever thought the revamp delays are on purpose? (somewhat tonge in cheek)

I had a thought the other day, that maybe all this telling us the revamp is coming then pushing it back and all those no love for us stuff is all part of some social experiment in game design to develop the smuggler community. Our lot is hard and filled with crushed hopes and we are (those of us who remain smugglers through the hologrind and all) living a harsh existence hanging on to this game with our fingernails hoping our luck will hold out. It's a bleak profession, which likely drives out all but those hard core folk who believe in the profession. Maybe this is their way to see if we develop a third faction on our own outside the boundaries and rules of the game?

Or maybe this is just another pipedream I give myself to help me stick with this game and the profession, but still, one never knows...although I could say from reading this board over time, that, while it might not be intentional, it certainly seems to have this effect. Maybe smugglers need to get together and create their own informal faction, more of a crime syndicate idea I've seen thrown about here a couple of times. I don't know, but it seems to me a third informal or formal faction of smugglers makes sense. Maybe that would be a good thing to consider for a revamp.

Heh, no, never thought of it like that...Could be though.Maybe Hayden Blackman is behind all this and getting great research material to show at the next conference of MMO games when discussing online communities.

I would hope that's not the case and the little pinch of reality I have in my life tells me it isn't. But then again.. who knows?
