As long as I have had the title of master smuggler I should know this by now. Can anyonegive me a feign death macro?

Is it simply,

/feign;

/pause x;

/feign;

Feign Death is not the kind of skill that you need to have a macro run it all the time. When you use it, it goes into the combat queue and basically sets a Feign Death flag. At that point, your next hit will put you down. If you have a macro running it all the time, you will find yourself feigning after every hit. In PvE, that may not be quite so bad a deal but when you stand from a feign, you will be somewhat vulnerable in that it will take a bit to get off the next attack. In PvP, you are simply laying down on your back, putting away your weapon for all practical purposes, and inviting someone to take free shots at your prone body.

I made an alias for Feign Death but I believe the command is /feigndeath;. To write a recursive macro, simply call the name with the /macro command.

Macro name: playdead

/feigndeath;

/pause xx; <-- number of seconds

/macro playdead;

Question... When I feign death in pve creatures will stop attacking me. But as soon as I stand back up they automatically attack me again... Anyone have that problem?? or is it normal??

Yes, that's normal. FD was altered a few months ago so that you no longer automatically lost aggro after using it. Aggresive creatures and NPCs will almost always re-aggro youthe instant you try to stand up. This was done the same time they changed bleeds to no longerkill mobs. They did this to try and stop smugglers from soloing Krayts and whatnot by using bleeds and FD over and over and over again. (Sap Shot, Sap Blast, Feign Death, wait for bleeds to run out, repeat as necessary). Although it can still be done. It's just a lot harder now.

The only macro I would use is one that lets me hit one hot key to clear my combat window and have me feign death because when I want to use it I don't always want to take the extra time to let it cycle through my other specials.

I guess I needed to be more clear. I want a macro for example when I'm selling faction points. One that will keep people off of me while I'm overt.

hehe...I thought about that after I posted. Then yes, you probably do what something that will run the whole time. That small recursive macro I posted should do the trick if it doesn't interfere with your FP macro. It shouldn't but wouldn't hurt to do some testing.

could anybody tell me how to set up a feign death macro please,i realized that it might be helpful to have one. please dont hurt me if its so simple i should have figured it out on my own,i've never been to good at marcos. thank you in advance for any help

I have and use the exact same macro when I go AFK while overt or TEFed. Can't be beat

i agree that this one works,does anybody have one that doesnt fill up the screen or do they all. sorry again for my lack of knowledge on the subject. thank you for your responses and help that you've given
