Lol, I have been a Master Smuggler for probably almost a year now. The inventory nerf has me bummed too but i find it's not too bad. If you open a bag o tools and just right click it away, right click again and boom, there are all your tools nice and neat. I am assuming most of us use the first person shooter controlls. I believer it would be alt instead of right click if not. I also ask my clients in advance how many weps/armor they need sliced and prepare the tools first. This all takes some getting used to and i charge more now because of it. People are more than willing to pay what I ask and I love them for it. I find the best part about slicing is not getting a good slice or having someone duel me when i get a bad slice. How many people get to see as many weapons and armor as we do? This is what keeps me going. I always ask people what they are charging for thier uber weapons that I slice. This alone makes Smuggler worthwhile to me. Being familliar with all the weapons and armor and prices is quite unique to us Smugglers. Now comes the time for me to grind FS luck. The conversion rate is decent for slicing xp but it is still going to take a buttload of slicing. This is going to be very expensive. I would suggest to anyone attempting this to have your friendly Weaponsmith make you some schematics for survival knives and WUK's. I guess my point here is to help you all realize how cool Smuggler is. Maybe if we quit crying about our profession the devs will quit treating us like babies. Thank you for your time.

Well...in a way I agree with what you're saying...It is a unique opprutunity that is offered, but the entire reason we want a smuggler revamp is because we are not, "Master Slicers"...we are "Master Smugglers", who don't smuggle anything. Jedis get lightsabers and forcepowers...kind of like the movies...Bounty Hunters get the ability to hunt marks and kill them...kind of like the movies...Smugglers get the ability to slice....See where I'm going with this? I love Smuggler, and I would of dropped it a long time ago if I didn't believe that it was a good profession that I would honestly enjoy; which I do, but I would still like to see our profession fully developed.

true, true, however i dont really thnk i care any more. it has clearly ben shown to us that nothing will get done for smugglers . better get used to it

I agree with you on that. Im just saying that I am happy with what I have for now. They will get to us and I plan on waiting till they do.

Yeah, you obviously haven't either A) been a smuggler fora long period of time, or B) played this game very long
The Jedi are the biggest whining little babies in this game, they've already had 3 revamps, and they are the most powerful profession in-game. The Wookies whined and whined about no armor, the devs implemented it. The Bounty Hunters cried and cried about their profession being too weak to take out jedi, and they got beefed up and fewer skill points to master their profession.
We smugglers whine the least of any profession i've ever been a member of, minus teras kasi, but they are the most balanced profession in-game. The fact we haven't seriously started whining on a major scale, done protests in busy starports, and gone on strike from slicing, is the very reason we haven't been given our revamp. We've been promised our revamp for over a year and a half now, and have seen nothing but nerf after nerf, and profession break after profession break. So if you think we're whiney little babies and that's why the devs have paid absolutely no attention to us, you must have an iq lower than the chair my buffbot sits on.

Just wondering what else you do profession wise Yoster... I've seen you around, and I've seen other posts of yours, so I'm just curious. I don't think you can be making that much from slicing judging by your prices.
And just to throw my opinion in the ring, I don't consider irrelevant spices and random slicing sufficient content to get me through to anything after waiting for so long. I'm on my second server, and it's my second time doing Smuggler. I'll never drop it, but I do consider it's far from anything resembling a working profession.
The main thing to realise about everyone's complaints is this.Some professions complain because they want more. Some professions complain because they will never get enough. We complain due to neglect and misinformation from day one. There's a big difference between many of the arguments made on this forum and those made on others. You'll also find that many of the same people who make complaints here support other professions (i.e. squad leader and ranger) in their quest to fix and expand their professions into what they should have been from the start.
There will always be problems within a game of this magnitude, but there is a fundamental problem when iconic professions and launch professions recieve less attention and fixing than the portions of the game that one can actually carry a legitimatedebate as to whether or not they should even be part of the game.

I went tagged and searchable as the only searchable, ATK MS in Cnet earlier...
Made about 100k in 45 minutes, just working around my house and a short stint infront of the starport (not spamming...spamming is BAD).
That was my first real public Slicing experience in a long time...and even those few 10 or so slices did a number on my patience level...

Your right, I don't make jack slicing. I have had 500k days easy on 3k slices. Usually takes all day and lots of spamming. I also don't spent my whole life in this game. When I do play I have a great time. I have made some good friends and have tried many other professions. All I ever hear are negative things about smuggling. The reason I made this post is because im sick of hearing about what we can't do. Just trying to remind people what we can do. Must be some reason I have never dropped smuggler. Probably because I like it and have a great time with it. Not to say I won't crap my pants if they ever revamp us. Im all for it. My cup is always half full. If you don't like it eat a #%$^. Some people take this game way to seriously. I am not directing this at you either its for everyone.

I actually agree with most of what you said in your original post. I enjoy a lot playing my Smuggler too. I am very aware we need a revamp and I am impatient for it, but in the meanwhile, I anjoy my Smuggler as it is. Granted, I am a fairly new Master Smuggler. 
Some would say I am not jaded yet and not cynical yet and they would be right, maybe it will come but I hope not. lol
I DO see tho how our profession IS in bad need of change, and I do not think expressing that is acting like babies. Wes is supposed to relay our concerns to the Dev team and how is he supposed to do his correspondent job if we all keep silent? I think it is that part of your original post that irked some peoples, not the part about actually liking your Smuggler.

been a master smuggler for almost a year, but registered on the boards for 2 months....?
should spend more time on the boards in your long tenure and you would have seen the struggle and the lies some of these men, like caylin (we miss you), have been through. i made sure to go through and read all the old posts first before flapping my gums since i'm still a newb.

And that's a statement from someone who believes in a cup is half full. You're full of crap here man. I've seen your other posts. I look at the trade forum. I've looked at others here. You like to stir the pot. I know you are a Smuggler because I've seen your spam at Mos Eisley. I'm not trying to flame you here, but come clean. You like to get people riled up, and that's your purpose here. That's what motivates your childish responses when someone tries to make a legitimate argument. Drop the guise of optimism.
