Thread: Smugglers unite! Let's get our freaking Master Smuggler box updated!

I've read one too many posts and gotten one too many questions from customers asking whether Master Smugglers get a slicing bonus. Better than a forum sticky, which only reaches a small number of new Smugglers and potential customers, we need the Devs to finally (and simply) add the following to our generally empty Master Smuggler box:

Drawing upon their broad knowledge ofshadydealings and improved manual dexterity, Master Smugglers exceed the abilities of even skilled Slicers when improving weapons and armor.

And then throwa short blurbinto the 'bonus' section that sayssomething like:

Improved slicing percentages

Devs, one small change like this will eliminatehours of unneeded Q&A sessions from potential customers and new Smugglers about whether this is true, how we can prove it, etc. You need to update that Master Smuggler description and give consumers something to rely on when they decide what path to pursue and which Smuggler they should be looking for.

Please do your job, Devs, and fix this up ASAP!

Anybody who believes in this, please keep this bumped and in the faces of whatever random Devs float through here.

[And FYI to all the potential customers and new Smugglers out there - Master Smugglers get a 5% bonus to their slices, meaning that they can get up to 45% on armor encumbrance and up to 35% on armor effectiveness and weapon speed or damage. The minimum slices also increase, meaning the odds of hitting a low slice go way down (the lowest possible slice by a Master is still often better than the best possible slice from a tier 2 or 3 Slicer). Also note that the maximum slices by Slicers (tier 4 of that tree) are 40% for armor encumbrance and 30% for everything else, and their minimum slices are lower than those of Master Smugglers.]

Thanks!

I think I've mentioned this in another post someplace. The Devs are going to get to us with their first patch of the new year, after they are done in December with Player Vehicles and Player City tweaks. I highly doubt that they are going to go digging into the code to find the 2 or 3 lines that need to be updated to fulfil this request until they are looking at the profession as a whole. Have some patience. We've dealt with it up till now, another 4-6 weeks isn't going to kill any of us, and if you'd quit over an issue as trivial as this, so long. This is a big backburner, this updating of the skill box descriptions.

Besides, while I agree it will cut down significantly on the new Smugs asking if it makes a difference, I doubt rather highly that we'll see a significant decrease in the number of uneducated customers. For you smugs in other crafting and service professions, how often do your customers bother to read thru the skill box discriptions of your lines before they make unreasonable and outrageous demands of you, or ask you questions that 5 seconds of their own reseraching could have yielded answers to?

You guys need to visit other crafter/service boards more often, almost all of them have a thread like our own (which I think I'll bump, it should never not be on the first page here =) detailing the humorous morons we all have to deal with. This is natural. If anything, SWG customers are more well-educated about their product than the average real life consumer. Trust me on this one. If we're to sign a petition, lets all sign one directed at improvements to our content. I think that would be much more productive.

If they can't figure out how to update a skill-tree's description in 10 seconds flat. Then they should give me access to the database or source. Then I will update in 10 minutes.. tops.
