is there a science to slicing these things? i dont expect to open every one of them that i get, i know they dont all have quality items in them. but what can i do to open them more effficiently, is there a science to it or is it completely random?

It is random, which wire carries the charge. However, since there is not a certification or anything preventing you from using them, I'd suggest you get a crate of molecular clamps. You can use them with your knives to tell you which wire to cut, andguarantee 100% success rate with your containers.

You could try looking for someone that sells molecular clamps, as anyone can use them; they guarantee a successful slice. Otherwise the result will be 50/50 chance of success.
