..about the YT-1300. I fired mine up for the first time last night (with a buncha drunk gunners ), and it's incredible! Having enough room to load cert lvl 9 & 10 EVERYTHING makes up for a lot, although it handles just fine at combat-speed (half to two-thirds throttle). And with that massive quest engine that wouldn't fit into anything else, it can be fairly quick, too (866 max w/o boost, 1100+ with).

The best part though, is the new group environment. I've never played with the Y-Wing much, but it's just a whole different experience to have a horde of manic idiots on board all working together. Manuevers become more about evasion and giving the gunners a stable firing platform than about lining up on the target's 6-o'clock. You might not be able to hang with the TIE Advs anymore, but you don't *have* to either. Just get them in range, and let your crew keep the big guns pounding. And when you're on the run, there's nothing like being able to give hell to the guy on your tail. Meanwhile, hopefully you've got engineers running around repairing whatever breaks ("That's not it! Bring me the hydrospanner!!"), so your staying power goes far beyond just the 2500+ shields and 1500+ armor.

Sure, it'd be nice if we could fire our unmanned guns from the cockpit. I'm still hoping for this, but honestly, flying a YT solo just isn't gonna net you half the experience anyway.

So no. The YT we get isn't the Millennium Falcon. It may not be the fastest hunk-o-junk, but otherwise it does just fine.The Falcon didn't have flames painted on thehull and a stripper-pole, either. When the time comes, I'll be perfectly happy running spice in MINE, plzkthx.
