Is there a way to raise both of these to high levels at the same time? I find it interesting that the Smuggler's Alliance pilot trainers are in opposing faction headquarters. The Tier 2 trainer is in Valarian's cantina and I understand the Tier 3 trainer is in Jabba's palace. I don't know how much it really matters as far asagro inside Valarian's cantina but, I'm kind of glad that I didn't go through Jabba's themepark yet and ruin my Valarian faction. Still, from an RP sense I'd like to have smuggler connections with all the criminal organizations I can.
