I feel a good way to bring content to smuggler is to have positive faction for both sides of the GCW. that way you can switch back and forth depending on the cargo/job you have to do. Like if an imp guild hires u to help with a base u can go imp, and same for reb. Remember smugglers work for themselves. no one else

This is true, and very possible for smugglers. Only problem is that most smugglers are part of a PA, and that PA is usually Imperial/Rebel/or Neutral.
Plus, the fighting skills of the smuggler sadly aren't in that much demand.
Interesting take though. Hope it works out for you.

Also, keeping neutral mean no FP transfer deals nor faction perk buying deal, as in both case it work so better when you are Colonel.

Smugglers should never be forced to be nuetral. For one, we could be Smugglers secretly working for that faction. And many could argue that Han was a Rebel... and a Smuggler.
That's something I'm fearing about when the Smuggler Revamp does come around. That Devs will force all Smugglers to become nuetral to get certain missions or something like that. Perhaps in space they would force you to be a nuetral pilot so you could "smuggle" things. I could see the Devs doing that... they're just that stupid. I just pray it wont happen.

Han became a rebel only at the very end of Ep IV. He started out as neutral, and was only in it for the money.

I know. I'm just using it as an arguement. Besides, he was in it for more then the money. He was in it to get some... from Leia (later on in the movies).
