Like the previous question, when I played before they were going for around 10k
what should we be selling them for now?
Thanks for all the responses on the previous question

10K for a crate of clamps? That's way expensive. I can usually find them on the bazaar for 6K or occasionally for cheaper if I hunt long enough. But I never pay more than 6K. Most of the time I do a factory run. Since none of our tools require quality resources, you can buy oodles of copper for cheap and make your own. It don't take much for a nice factory run.

I remember when it was 10k for clamps,..12k (and much higher even earlier than that) for muon. Today,..6k is about the average price for clamps. Most Smugglers end up making their own, but I still "outsource" if you will and buy from the economy. Not enough lots to run a factory these days.

I sell 'em for 6500 on Starsider...
Granted, they don't move very fast...I've had vendors up for a month and haven't sold 2 full factory runs of them yet...
I remember the days when 15k was standard pricing...and you thought you were in heaven if you found a vendor selling for 10k-12k...
*sigh*...

Anyone who sells Clamps on the Bazaar for 6K will more than likely havesplit the crate in two, takes 90 Units of metal for one clamp...

On my vendor I have the Clamps and WUKs for about 12K each.
Of course I'm just using the vendor as a storage unit, so if I move even a couple I'm amazed!!

Splitting up the crates is kind of pointless. 90 metal*25 clamps at 1cpu is 2250 credits per crate resource costs, and if you factor in factory costs you still come away with a few thousand credits.

On Wanderhome there seems to be an inexhaustible supply of molecular clamps available on the coronet bazar for 6k/crate of 25. Yes, that's less than 3cpu so it's silly to sell at that price, but then again maybe selling molecular clamps for 3cpu makes more sense than slicing for 2k/slice (which I also see regularly).

On Corbantis, I have a house full of clamps, a house full of knives, and a house full of WUK's... if I really wanted to make up the money I wasted on making these, cause slicing isn't that big on my server anymore, I could probably flood the bazaar selling these for around 4.5k a crate... figure it cost me 20k for 50k units of copper (helping a guildie on a quest, hooked me up) and everything was all good.

I sold clamps for 7.5k a crate when I ran a smuggler tool vendor. I guesstimated the cost of production at around 5k per crate including factory costs, so 50% profit seemed fair, and most people seemed to be selling for 8k+ on my server.
