So, by the response on quite a few different threads seems as though the new min for a slice is 10k to the general public .... i am game. we are the only profession who has not increased our services...look at doc buffs went from 8k....10k (stood here a while),,,,12k now popping up to 15k
...my slices 10k

It has probablybeen a full year sinceI started charging 10k for a slice.
So you're way behind the curve. (Though admittedly, I don't slice anymore, let alone play...)
But good luck, and hold out for the cash you deserve for your time.

With the Solo group Nerf all prices are gonna have to come down. 15k for a buff is just pure greed (so is 10k for a slice btw)

I don't know about buff prices. That will still be determined more, based on resource prices.

why would 10k be too much for a slice? it last the life of a weapon/armor while a buff lasts 3.5 hours max

exactly, this isent like a temporary power-up, this lasts forever, so 10k definatly wouldent be to high for it

My minimum is 10k (except for noobs) ... I hover towards 15-25k now usually.

10k per slice is the min now? Where the heck have I been? I have been charging a flat rate of 8k per weapon and 8k per piece of armor. No wonder I haven't had one complaint lately.
And 10k is too much? Please. Again, waiting in a line of 20 folks for a 3.5 hour buff for 15k, I have yet to see one person complain that it is too much.
We are providing a permanent enhancement to their items. After one of our 10k slices on a item they can turn around and sell it for 10x times that amount, and thats being very conservative.
If anything we may need to look at raising our prices.
Just a thought.

Buffs on Eclipse now generally start at 12k-15k, and last night at MoP on dantooine were going for 30K, for a standard buff. The docs arguement was that you could complete a 30k mission ina minute or 2, which is true, including travelling i can clear 2 missions every 5 minutes, (720k per hour).
As fo the solo nerf, if people are sensible they can still earn at least 120k per hour without too much trouble. just hunt the 10k picket missions on dant, (don't need a group to unlock them). so i can't see prices on mainstream items and services dropping too much.
I havn't started slicing for the public yet, and i probably won't untill after the solo nerf (im running missions till then to bulk out my bank account
) when i will finish my template, but once master iplan to charge a minimum of 10k. its a cheap price for what will garantee (providing i don't mess up :S) to improve the item.

I recently upped my price for public to 10k, but I mostly slice for Guild and w/s pal at the moment, and that's in the rare times that I'm actually playing on the ground.
As for the solo group nerf... So what. For too long we charged too little for our services, maybe now that the credit might be a little harder to come by, we should stick to our guns (terrible pun, I know) and hold out on price to try and make it reflect the real worth of what we do.
Maybe then we can redress the balance again and make people realise the power of slicing.
If it's a little higher price then it may also help to stop people thinking that slicing should be an everyday thing. It is after all an 'illegal' service that we provide.
More power to the Smuggler!
