Hi all,
I am trying to make a Molecular Clamp manufacturing schematic so I can produce crates of MCs in my factory. However, I cannot get the schematic screen to pop-up. I am standing near all of the crafting stations in Coronet and using the generic crafting tool.
It is curious too that when I look at my shcematics in the data window, all of the smuggling tool schematics (laser knives, FANs, and mol clamps) are red.
This is the first profession for me that deals with crafting. I have read the Artisan FAQs and thought I had a good understanding of it. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you died, your crafting tool may have been disabled. But I don't know why the schematics are red... I've never heard of that...

Sounds like you're doing everything right - just make sure you're using the Weapon crafting tool and not the generic crafting tool.
Other than that - I'm no help!
Cheers

Throw away your GENERIC Crafting tool, and get a Weapon, Droid, and Generic Item Crafting tool. The crafting tool must match the station you're standing next to in order to get the schematic option.

I have used one of those also, and still I cannot get the schematic. I have a feeling that it has to do with the smuggler schematics being red. Should I do a /bug?

That's weird because I noticed last night that a lot of the schems in my datapad were Red.
I was sitting in the cantina and hit my "craft-a-clamp" macro but it brought up the wrong schematic. I had a quick look in my datapad and noticed mucho redness around a lot of the schematics but didn't worry about it because I was about to log out anyway.
I was using a generic tool as well, I always do. Maybe something has changed, I'll have to look into it tonight.

The Artisan forum is reporting the same weird red schematics, and that they cannot see the ingredient list for schematics. Apparently this surfaced on TC over the weekend. I guess I will wait for the hotfix and see if that changes anything. Thanks for all of your help everyone.

Something that never really made sense to me... when the Devs have the frogs up on TC for harder testing, and they plan to publish to live the next work day, if any new bugs pop up, they have no chance to fix the bugs before they go live with the publish. It makes no sense... none at all. You'd think they'd wait a day or two and fix the bugs before the go live.
But... I guess I'm not a SWG Dev...

Last night I made a clamp schematic with a general crafting tool. I also had noticed that certain items were highlighted red in my data pad, but it worked for me. I assumed it was just showing whatI could make with thecrafting tool I was currently using. *shrug*
