This is more of a BH thread but my 2 cents...
Your main problem is range. You are going to be inside of the jedi's saber through, which is an ugly knockdown. Plus you are way too close to a glowing toothpick to not have any medic stuff. Your choice of stopping shot is excellent and but overall the smuggler moves do little to help against a jedi. If you were to pickup MR you would see how the range really helps out in a fight . You could use your sniper shot, stopping shot, then your states and damage movesand just try to keep out of saber throw range (35m) when the root breaks just use snare and kite until root sticks again.

What the hell does that have to do with PVP?
Do you ever get tired of being a victim?
Anyway, I like the combo- having Stopping Shot is great once you get used to using it.
Unarm your weapon, kick in COB (for an extra +250 Def) and keep your Duelist's Stance macro going.
The new Concussion Shot is good for taking a break- healing or setting up a Bomb droid.
I love to KD with Underhand andfollow up with a Critical.
Use yourHeavy Lightning Rifle (MBH) at65m and open with a KD. Follow with Critical and as they run at you hit them with Stopping Shot (melee) or CS (ranged) run and repeat.
This is a good combo- it's not the best but it is a lot of fun. It takes a while to figure out what works. Good luck.
That said, the specials you have are awesome but you'll end up using your rifle a lot of the time in pvp. I had 4 guns on my hotbar. Renegade (energy pistol), FW5 (kinetic pistol), Launcher (AoE Heavy Weapon), and an Advanced Laser Rifle. Lead with the rifle but if you happen to get into pistol range, drop it as soon as possible and switch.
Also when pvping, take off your auto attack option. Not only will having it off mean you won't screw up concussion/panic, it forces you to be aware of the situation and pick the best shot. With your special set you have a great chance to control your opponent one on one like no other. You may not have the raw power of a rifleman, but let me tell you how fast riflemen fall when you get in their face. The only time I, as a jedi, have an issue with a rifleman is when he brings a pistoller or smuggler buddy along.
Tactics are far more important than raw damage. The template you have gives you access to some of the best tactical specials in the game. Best advice is to just practice. PvP some and learn how stuff really works. Also, as a favor to me, don't be a jackass to the jedi you hunt. I expect to be hunted and even sometimes killed. What I don't appreciate is hate tells, being spit on, and other immaturities. There are a lot of retarded jedi out there, but don't bring yourself to your level.
RANGED CYBER ARMS FTW WOOT!
got both ranged cyberarms and have a range of 50 meters with pistol
range arms sounds like a good idea, but what about the resists on those things arent they pretty sad? i can imagine getting hit in the arms and incapping quick.
thanks for the tips guys, keep em coming if you got anymore =)
