How would you guys feel about a schematic drop instead of the loot drop(with each schematic making a set number of each loot). This would make it stackable in crates and make it easier for the basic toolkits to be found if each schem made 100 or so. Personally I think this would work out better for your slicing needs.

I'm totally with you... I'd go nuts if I have to carry around all these loose items. And I don't have the room to store them either. I mean, how many lootcomponents do you have to carry on you to slice a full set of armour?
I'll not drop smuggler, but don't count on me slicing anymore.

It seems like most people support the schematic idea... it was mentioned at least 50 times within the 20+ threads in the slicing concerns post. Hopefully it's implemented; the sooner the better.

this would be great if they droped manufacturing schematics. the only problem i see is that a manufacturing schem, takes specificly named mats like ikobi; where a draft schem(what all loot schematics are now) takes generic stuff like copper or organic. if they could make a manufacturing schematic that would take any mat of the needed type i'd be behind ya all the way.

The only issue there is for those who do not like having to make things. I am msmuggler and I have not yet produced any of the spices and other things there. I avoid having to deal with resources and using up lots for factories and extractors. Now I know it is part of the proff, but I avoided crafting proffs for that reason, that is the only part of smuggler I have no use for, and would like to keep it that way.
I suppose I could have some crafter make it for me, but if this idea is implemented, only a smuggler would probably be able to make it.
I'm kinda mixed on this one, it makes better sense, but I don't want to have to craft things if I can avoid it.

Well SOE seems to be moving the game towards a loot driven economy so i think you're safe.

They can make it stackable WITHOUT schematics. Resources are stackable without schematcs so these can be too.

That they're all loose items is really crummy. Brought this up in a thread on the corr forum recently and suggested they do something like make low-level items drop in stacks of 5-11, mid-level stuff in stacks of 2-5, and keep the high-level stuff as singular drops.
Any kind of stackability would be great--otherwise our inventories are going to be even worse than when we had to pull everything from crates--but I figured this would free up a lot of inventory space while also making the low- and mid-level stuff more easily obtained. Numbers are debatable, of course, I just thought the concept had some potential.
