I have some questons about slicing. One. How many times can u slice a weapon? I have read u are able to slice it 5 times, each percent counting as once. For example, an 8 percent slice would equal three slices. So u could get a 8 percent slice on damage and a 4 percent slice on speed and max out ur number of slices on ur weapon. Is this true? Also, supposedly there are negatives to who ever gets the max amount of slices, like u gun jams or can even break. Has anyone had any experience with this? I dont want to get any of my guns sliced, then every other shot is a jam or malfunction. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Run! Hurry, read the FAQ before the others cometo eat your brains. But to answer your questions, It's been a while since I've sliced a terminal but I believe it's 2 minutes. As for the XP cap, there is none because slicing XP does not exist anymore.
Seriously though, if your going to be a Smuggler read the FAQ, almost every common question that has been asked is in there.

How much xp do I get per slice?
None for either weapon or armour slices; to progress up the slicing tree you must get Pistol XP, just as every other Smuggler tree. However, when slicing a terminal or container, you will receive 200 slicing XP.
I read the FAQ. Why don't you tell the forum mod to keep his faq's updated with the game.

The OP is right, it's not in the FAQ. Quit jumping on people before knowing what you yourself are talking about.
OP: It was 2 minutes, I assume it's still the same.
And I thought they removed the ability to get slicing xp. Though I haven't sliced in quite sometime, so I can't tell for sure.

I thought that slicing the terminals was worth 100 slicing xp these days. And it's every two minutes.

When I sliced a terminal the other day, I got 4 slicing xp. It was on Cnet. and the timer was 2 min, if i remember correctly
