Thread: Get Novice Smuggler, what to do now?

HI,
i get Novice smuggler last we and Underworld I and slice I yesterday. I have some questions of getting slicing and spice xp.
What is the best way to get locked containers? terminal slicing is quit poor and the other players sometims don't have containers for me.
How to get fast spice xp? I get only 120 xp per spice i've craftet. is this normal? Can i get more xp?

WHoever taught you slice 1 was a jerk for not telling you to not waste your time slicing terminals... 1 terminal every 2 minutes? hardly worth it.
Unfortunately a lot of people seem to destroy their locked containers, so they might be hard to find if you're begging in the middle of coronet... If i were you, i would just go to every major mall and hope one of the junk vendors in these malls carries a bunch of cheap containers...

check your map on the inhabitable planets.locations with a lot of different shops crowded around one spot are good places to start looking...
or ask around on your server's forums...

Just get metal and meat and make shadowpaw. You dont need many resources and with 3 crafting tools you can do all 4 boxes in a couple of hours, just watch a movie and click boxes. I did it next to coronet bazaar so I could buy any more resources to finish the job.
For containers, if you're rich buy them , if not go to Moenia and wait outside the starport killing all the npc's. It's a pretty regular spawn and you will pick up a few containers, as do most chunkers, nitwits, buffoons, jawas, spice fiends etc. After that slice crates of weapons or make them and then slice them if you have any artisan skills

He's right. Also check out the Artisan proffesion thread and get the crafting macro. with all the materials and the macro you can burn through spice 4 in 3hrs or less. Oh also don't let the carpel tunnel commando's bring you down with their flames about how using a macro being wrong, just because they, like me got screwed andhad to do it manually.

I used three crafting units for Shadowpaw, clicking fast so they were always running. And did it at the same time as slicing the terminals - have a timer or watch to hand and every two minutes, slice terminal...then back to your clicking (or macro-ing.)
Two birds. One stone. No having to bump off tons of NPCs.

Me, I just take npc missions to try and get containers (after slicing the term to get better pay an xp 
). Then when I get enough creds, I'll buy a couple of crates of weapon upgrade kits, and clamps. Then find a nice quiet place to sit (hotel's seem to be quiet) and slice all the weapons I've looted off the npc's. I just barely got slicing 2 and am over half way to 3. It works, but it's slow...of course. For immersion I've been clearing out Dearic of Fed-Dub agents...as I figure that being a smuggler they probably don't like me too much...makes sitting in the hospital kinda risky tho
