i'm sorry, i cant remember which post it was brought up in - you know who you are /hug
Anyway I've created the SIN (aka Smugglers Information Network) chat channel on Valcyn and i urge you to do so on your home server.
Currently its a public channel (with no password) for smugglers to join and chat with fellow minded people.
Now i want your opinions on:
-The whole idea
-If we should password it
=if so make the password available on this forum
=or by tells in game
-Anything else
Oh and thanks to the people that started this idea! /cheer

Well Sooner or later your going to get idiots coming in the channel if it's public. We had this problem when my guild had a non password channel. I'd suggest you password it and then give the password to those intersted through PM here in the boards and to those on your server in game. Best way to reduce lamers jumping on your bandwith and being smacktards. Also I thinks it's a pretty good idea. Let smugglers come together and get to know each other. Discuss stuff. Be like a real smuggler community in game.

I'm On Valcyn so expect to see Nasedo in that chat when I log in.
At least it gives us a way to say "hey guys, watch out for "xxx" he is scamming slices with out paying" etc.
Can also help the noobs get their hands on clamps and left over containers etc.

Sounds cool to me, if someone creates one on Flurry please sent me a /tell with the password. Otherwise I Will be happy to start one myself.

Sounds like a great idea, I would love to see it on the Chilastra server - is there one up that anyone knows of?

Hey Sohtel and Dak Roberts I'm a Smuggler on Flurry as well and would love a smug chat channel.
I'll try to set one up the next time I'm on if somebody can post the procedural method for creating a chat channel. I think it should definitely be passworded and the password sent around by tell.
If I do get a chance to set one up (I'm on infrequently, and typically very late in the AM EST) I will password it "REVAMP".

you can assign known and trusted smugglers with Moderator status so they can invite others as well ... ideally there would be a handful of smugglers who covered the server up time to invite others upon request of someone already in channel.
