Is it just me or as a combatant have you also been using spice as a "travel" buff in the new system? When ever I travel to a location that is "hot" and not buffed or even looking for a fightIve used spice to get out of trouble and I've been "using" alot. Like more then I have in months, is it just me?
I like being unbuffed and combatant when doing everyday stuff cause it adds a little danger in my travels and now more then ever before pixie is at the forfront of my protection when Im called out by the enemy. We all know spice needs a revamp that goes with out saying but I'm I the only one that has noticed a new need for high end spice as a combatant just traveling around??

i love travelling around combatant also, but between my alt and my roommate's alt we have all 9 stats buffable, so i don't really rely on the pixie
i certainly hope this becomes a trend!

I find myself using spice, and wearing armor, a lot more than I used to. My mini buff is two brandies, a pixie, a synthsteak and a slice of aircake. seems to do the job
OMG! LIGHTBULB! What if smugglers got a special type of armor, a blasterproof vest? that could be worn under clothes

The only time I buff and put on armor is when I go out to hunt- either critters or players.
I run around combatant unarmored and unbuffed.
With the exception of the last few days while we move our town I also keep my Master Smuggler tag up.
I have a few loose hits of pixie and muon stashed in my driod in case I need a quick hit; but I try to avoid those situations.
Not being a fighter I find that burstrun also works to leep me healthy.
I've been scanned several times by rebel security forces with no problems - but then I'm a rebel colonel.
I just haven't had the time to irritate the imps yet but that is going to happen soon.

Ooooo, that would rock! Ive got padded pants/glovesand comp boots and a ubes shirt plus a sheild gen with no buffs (light armor). When the hammer comes down i pop a pixie and synthsteak pull the DE and seem to be fine. Plus with FOW and FD in tandum Ive only been killed on time.

what sucks is now, in a rebel controlled city, in a CANTINA, I can't go afk to heal bf... or I'll come back and find me dead on the floor.

I love the idea of the "vest" worn under clothes.
And it is true that my spices have been sellig good lately, better than usual, I am out of stock.
So maybe it is becoming a trend

Keep track of your spice sales guys, see if they are going up. Over allit might not be a bad idea to start marketing spice as the combatants "quick fix" during casual travel/gaming. I think with a revamp of spice we may seespice actuallybecome high demand in this new GCW.

Some quick thoughts on this...
I usually pack some Muon with me- but use Brandy and Canape as my mini buffs. I'm a medic with some pretty potent stim C's and that helps keep the HAM in good shape as long as I monitor the heal self button or FD to take a break.
I LOVE walking around as a combatant. The other day I logged in Cnet's cantina at the recruiter. An ST was just outside the door and apparently couldn't see me.
I popped the brandy/canape combo and wacked him on the peepee with my scythe.
Then I was on the way to shuttle A and got fired upon by two other STs (crossfire at that). I took them out easily enough but again, I was watching my health and action bars pretty close and healing a couple of times.
As soon as I got to the shuttle I noticed there was a trooper by the ticket vendor and like 4 more behind the shuttle.
"Damn!"
I was in a hurry and just wanted to get out of there. So I had to sneak up close to the ST by the vendor. Take him out before he ran near the other STs and then get my ticket and get the F' outta there.
Which is exactly what happened.
Smuggling should be that way...
Anyway,
Maybe I will start "using" more.
Maybe I will start right now!
Pass that J, Yim.

I've been walking around with three things on my tool bar, Brandy, Accaragm and Pixie. The combo of these three give me a nice little mini-buff and gets me out of most trouble, as long as I can get away before the spice downer. I've always carried moun, but only use that in dire emergencies. Of course you can add the various other foods to help out as well.
