There are a number of places you can look, althrough I suspect is it is rather rare these days and pending on which server you are - early going I found locked containers on a bazaar terminal. There is supposed to be a spot near coronet where can supposely farm-sorry dont recall it has been over 14 months. Another spot is check player vendors you will be supposed on whats for sale.

You can pick up containers from the npc's outside npc cities, i can get 5-10 in a 4-5 hour loot session. And yeah, the bazare and player vendors are the quickest way, expect to pay 3-6k each

Back in the days, by the time I had killed enough NPCs to actually become a smuggler, I already had all but one or two containers I needed, and got those from the bazaar for like 50-100 credits. After that, I would always find someone screaming that they needed a container sliced, or giving me a tell asking me to slice them, usually giving a tip I did it, even if I didn't ask.

Ah, the good old days... So has the drop rate lowered, or was I just getting extremely lucky? And personally, I suggest you boycott the 5-6k containers if you're smuggling to be a smuggler, and not just to make money or something like that. People buying those containers is what keeps them that high, and it's ridiculous for the crap they contain.

As for the crap they contain, they should really scale containers or something. Have super easy to open containers that a novice can open, which contain the sandals, etc. These are like luggage with a lock on them. After all, who puts sandals into the same type of container someone would put a lightsaber crystal? After that, the difficulty and rarity of the containers increases, and the value of the loot does as well. Judging by the current loot system, it'd be hard to implement, but I think it'd be "super cool".

Alright, enough ranting, sorry.
