The nasty cynical part of me keeps seeing the buzzwords like"exciting" all the way through those documents, and its voice inside my head starts saying...

"New Coke.... Poochie.... Scrappy doo... "

Now I don't think we've got to a point where Han Solo is going to end up jumping a mob of Rancors on a speederbike (yet), and I really, truely hope that there is going to be far more substance than fluff, and that the CURB works the way it should, but I am also, extremely scared this is just going to lose more players than gain, and we'll all be uttering those 3 famous words to describe SWG's decline.

Well this is a great reason to get on Test Center once the CU is there.

I myself haven't played SWG in quite a while (although my accounts are still active) because I've been so frustrated and faithless with the game and it's direction ... but you can bet I'll be on Test Center!

We have to get in there and give all the painstaking feedback we can stand to help ensure it pans out to be more than buzzwords. If after all of that ... if the CU remainsto SWG what Scrappy doo was to Scooby ... at least we can say "I told you so" when even more people leave the game.

I'm actually optomistic about the CU. The DEVs suck at times, yes, but they are human and even they wouldnt want to put themselves through all of this and not get it right ... as long as they are open to the feedback we give, we should see a vast improvement in the game.

Trust me, as soon as it hits test i'll be right there... I'm ready and willing to test, I want to find out what this is going to do to my current professions of choice (smuggler/rifles), and if they will be more complementary in the new system.

I have reservations about certain things (all energy weapons throwing red and all kinetic throwing blue... sure its going to make it easier to know what you are being hit with, but that imho is going to destroy a lot of flavour.. I want to keep my green bowcaster bolts, dammit... its canon!) However,Test should be a place where we can either have our reservations put to rest, or give us a good reason to complain (unlike the complaining thats been going on here in the last day or so), and try and get things changed for the better.
