Thread: Focused smuggler CU concerns

* With being primarily a 'mezzer' will the smuggler/crafter be able to level effectively?


*Given smuggler's unique state as a combat/crafting/sex appeal hybrid will the new CU skills be vuln to dabblers?


*Is the crowd control role really going to be that effective?


*Why is Fishbrains so damn hot?

* Will smuggler's be able to solo effectively?

I will add to this and edit as more valid concerns are posted. This will help us when we start testing, and allow us to better test in the small amout of time we have. (pssst. Wes, sticky it! )

I've suddenly just come to the revelation that Joras is the Smuggler forum's Wes Jansen...


If you've read X-wing: Starfighters of Adumar, you'll immediately know what I mean...

I just re-read it for the 10th or 11th time a few nights ago. Without a doubt, it is the FUNNIEST book in the entire EU. I always read it when I'm feeling "down"...it's a great "pick-me-up".


Anyway...I guess we sould turn the thread hijack off...since there was actually a purpose to this thread...

I would add; solo effectively.


Iconically, .. well, his name was 'Solo'. And the proposal for the smug revamp has us running solo missions against NPC interference.

At risk of ruthering the hijack...it is one of my favs too Drev. In fact I have it on audio and listen to it at work when I'm feeling like something light and fun. And I agree with you...so who would be Hobbie?

How about the most IMPORTANT question for SMUGGLING Smugglers?


How do we 'win' against a BH...NPC or player?

There are a lot of questions about how grouping would work for smuggler missions, like what happens with the missions that can take a couple of days? Thanks for pointing that out. I had not noticed before.. probably because it seems to the only plural reference in the document. So, I am not going to read too much into it and just assume Tiggs is just referring to missions scaling in some way to difficulty.


And I will remain hopeful that the entire game is not changed to some kind of a group required experiance.

I have a crate of level 38 bomb droids that have killed outright mobs up to 8k HAM, before I even got a shot off. Didn't even get loot rights....
