hi all
aimed at returning back into the smuggler proffession after a few months break (vain hopes of becoming jedi - then realised that i dont have the time)
first question - you guys think that luck tree will affect the new slicing?
second question - will persuasion affect missions in the revamp?
imperial colonel and ace pilot - which i was hoping to use in previous role as rogue imperial arms officer.
i live on tatooine and was planning on keeping on the good side of the mighty lord jabba.
---
hope the npc bounty hunters are eventually the same class as +nova troopers , so we have to run sometimes too
thanks in advance

I'm assuming that they'll fix ranged accuracy/speed with the CURB.... at least, that's what I'm saving my points for. The slicing exp I'm saving up for the luck branch simply because ya gotta do something with the exp.

I've read alot that suggests FS Luck affects Slicing and I believe it should, not to give 'higher' slices but to effect more 'high-end' slices.
In the code it would come down to numbers and I guess it just modify's your rolls each time you slice.
With that in mind, I suspect that FS Luck will continue to work on slicing after the Smuggler revamp, perhaps even better than it does now.

As far as I was aware, FS Luck has no effect on slice results.
FS Luck increases the credit amounts looted from humanoid corpses, that's all.

thanks for replies
really hope luck tree will affect the new slicing in revamp.
to me "luck" is central to a smugglers life ala mr solo.

I'd like to think I make my own luck
As to if anything will change regarding linking the FS skills to Smuggler abilities, there's been no mention of this, so I doubt it'll happen. As said, there's no link currently, so unless it's stated that this will change, I doubt it will be.

I don't see the Force Sensitive Persuasion as the hand wavy thing, that is active use of the Force. The FS skill has more a passive mod to you, something you might even be unaware of.

Heh, afraid I know as much as anyone else, it's not been discussed. Force skills help you avoid contraband scans, so it's plausable they'll help with the missions too, but nothing's been mentioned.

It'd be nice if it did help Slicing.
Unless they change it and I haven't seen anything saying the devs will change it.
(If a change is mentioned in another forum I haven't seen it yet)
Luck has only been linked to the type of loot droped and persuasiojn is supposedly to be used on the "weak"minded". Like Obi used on the searching (scanning?) squad in Mos Eisley in ANH.
