I bought 25 crates of WUKs yeasterday, adding to several crates I already had...and none have a "convert" option or whatever. What do I have to do...

You had to pay more attention to the posts here when they said that crated WUKs and AUKs would not convert and pulled out as many as you could before the patch happened.

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

Its good to keep your eye on the forums, I know I try to.. but its simply impossible to read up on every single piece of information written on these boards.. If one were suppoesed to do that, then there wouldnt be any time left to play..

I did not see anything about Crates not being salvagable, only that WUK and AUK would convert into new parts.. I made alot of them beacuse I dont support the whole Loot based thingy SOE have going atm.
I feel stoopid now, and I really hope they fix it so crated items also will be salvageable.

Besides.. this game shouldnt rely on every single player keeping them selves up to date on the forums..

There are no mentioning in the "knowledgebase" on how the new slicing works.. how are people supposed to know how to do it with out any written word ingame.

This is really, really unfortunate... I'm trying not to be aggravated about the scores of crates I have in stasis at the moment. I haven't been able to keep up to date on the forums lately either, because I've been trying to set up a business in real life.

Quite frankly I am peeved, but I'll keep the crates in case they sort a fix for crated tools. Sucks starting the new system behind everyone else though...

Ok, thats just plain stupid. That post was made early this morning,how aboutsomething official from SOE telling us that these tools will no longer be implemented in the game, you know, like on the home page of the website? Or in the startup of the game (since many, many people play the game and never visit these boards).

The fact that someone figured it out on the Test Server does not constitute a functional method of relaying important information like "Laser Knifes are now useless, Mol-Clamps, Node-Analyzers are too, oh, and pull all your WUKs and AUKs from their crates, or they are useless too".

How about SOE letting the Junk vendors buy our now useless crates (and crates and crates) of Laser Knifes, Clamps, Node Analyzers, WUKs and AUKS.

Toss us a Bone SOE, at least let me reclaim some of the lost money.

But hey, on the flip side, you can slice a terminal with no tools and get slicing XP....wait....what good is slicing XP now? Oh, and even though I'm only at Slicing Terminals, I can now slice armor and weapons.

But you get no XP, not that you need it anymore because now, I have to run around the galaxy shooting up bad guys just so I can get more Slice boxes so I can slice more stuff. That makes sense.

What in the world happened there? And lastly, how does this affect the slicing of Faction Bases?

Hmmmmmm, think I know a few Imp bases that might need visiting.

Keep up the good work SOE, I know you will get it right someday. The CU is kinda working.

But just please, please let us know what's going on.

[[[[[ It just amuses me to no end that people pay a monthly fee for a game just to have the right to complain about it. If you don't like the game, and you want to make a point, quit paying them. Nobody is forcing you to play, Just stop. Get a real life outside of the game and do that instead. Just remember real life is kinda bugged too. You won't get your way in real life either and there is nobody to complain too (well there is, but I don't think God has a Forum for you to complain on). ]]]]]
