You can slice it for top-spd or top-dmg w/o any probs. With that said, I've sliced a few dozen of those for my clients. Not one went with the top-spd. Every single client asked for the top-dmg combo.

I always slice those lvl1 speed, lvl3 dmg, lvl1 crit. Seems to be what my clients request most often.

Full Speed on Knucklers seems like SUCH a waste to me... TKM's are already damn fast, especially those with other melee skills to back the TK up.

My advice, 4% damage / 5% crit ... or as mentioned above, 8% damage / 3% crit / 2% speed.

Full crit would be putting all your eggs in one basket, and as nice as those crits are, splitting it with damage seems ideal to me, and the four or five TK's I've sliced those knucklers for would agree.

There used to be a post on the TKM forums with pictures of different slice results. Basicly, most people go with 2% speed 8% damage 3% critical on the Katarn with no problems. You could also go speed, but you'd burn your entire action pool way too fast.
