Thread: Confusion: Hardening Slice Best Choice with already fully ADK'd suit?

Read the FAQ, truly. I have a set of Imperial Scout Armor loaded to the hilt with rifle AA's. Master Doctor / Master Rifleman. Every piece is ADK'd. With that said, I am assuming the Hardening Slice is the best way to go if your not really large scale PVP and worried about the armor break?

And... If there are 8 pieces of armor to your suit, and you harden all 8, does that mean there is a 24% chance of a 50% reduction?

This question, is merely asking for opinions.

3% applies only to the localized piece. If you are hit with Leg Hit then the Leg Armor is what takes the impact so it 3% always and never 24%

With a fully ADK'd suite, wow you rich bugger , Hardening is realy the only choice if you don't PVP atm. That being said the DEV's are implementing this new speicals stuff on TC so we may see more NPC's using some kind of AB special.

We're Charley Brown, the Dev's are lucy and the Smuggler revamp is the football.
Every time we think, this is the time were gona get to kick the football Lucy pulls it away at the last minute.

So essentially the 3% hardening is worthless. I mean 3% out of 100%. Almost no chance of it working. And as for the armor break stuff. How does that work? If your armor has a few pieces with armor break protection, how in the world does that work?

I mean, armor break protection on legs and not chest etc? Considering armor break is not targetted to the head? Anyone know the answer to this?

My guess would be its a roll on the pieces that have been armor breaked. So if a shot hits them and they have been sliced for armour break reduction and an armor break has been applied to them they have a 60% chance of them not applying the ab on each hit

That’s only a guess mind

Get you whole suit Armor Break sliced. It seems to be the only useful slice, unfortunately.

Armor break is not the only usefull slice. It all depends on your situation. If you don't pvp much, then I would go with the hardening. It's only 3% but it's what I use on all of my armor and I see it work regularly in combat. You'll see an +armor save+ message above your head when it works.

The armor break slice is not confusing at all either. When someone applies armor break to you, it's a state and affects your character, not individual pieces of armor. The armor break slice does affect each piece of armor. So, if your armor doesn't have armor break slice, and you get hit after someone uses armor break on you, you'll take a lot more damage no matter which piece of armor is hit. But, if the piece that gets hit has armor break slice, the damage is still more because of armor break, but not by as much. So best bet is to get every piece sliced for armor break to protect vs. armor break. Normally best slice for pvp.

Um, I thought anything sliced while having an ADK on it destroyed the ADK......

Is that no longer true?

Can I slice my [insert item] after using my Anti-Decay Kit (ADK) on it?

Yes, you can still slice an item after applying your ADK to it.

Nevermind, I'm hoping that this means the ADK will stay on the item after it is sliced.
