Hi there, (/gives the secret smuggler handshake...nod)

I understand how to go about selling fp, but what if I want to by fp for myself to increase my rank.

The 500 cap won't do it for most ranks. Is there anyway around this or do you just have to buy 500 a day for the rest of your life?

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. I'm currently a Warrant Officer 1 or 2 and looking to make Colonel.

The short answer is no you cannot buy fp for yourself. More detailed, the cap isn't 500 fp a day, it's a cap of 500 fp on you.If you have499 fp you're fine, if you have 500 fp youcannot buy any more fp. So no buying ranks for yourself, sorry. Hope that clears things up.

Seriously though...if you'd have read my guide to selling FP (handily linked from the Important Links sticky), you would have seen the big yellow text informing you that, NO, there is not a way to bypass the 500 pt. cap.

Make sure you don't go more than499 points above what you need for your next rank, then at least you can buy 500 for every new rank.

Find a Colonel of the same faction who has Underworld4 and have them buy it. If the FP cap removed/increased there would be more faction related items in game.

you cannot bypass the cap, but you are not forced to "grind" faction on ground, get jtl, work your way to at least 3433 in the easiest squadron for your faction (Inquisitor if you are imperial, 3-4 days are enough to master it), load your ship with good weapons , go in space, declare and head to kessel. You will get enough faction to whatever rank you need.

I got from 1st rank to 2nd lt. and bought an at-st with my twi'lek alt just grinding the xps for for fill the tier 4 boxes with my alt. Not buying the at.st i would be probably able to hit colonel .
