Thread: precision laser knife where

ive looked all over teh bazzaar for the precision laser knife to slice stuff. where can i find one?? thanks

1. Get a general crafting kit.



2. Get some metal. You will need 16 metal per 10 stack of knifes (successful slices take up 2 knifes; fails use up 1).



3. Craft those knifes!

do you have to be an artisian to craft?? all i have is brawler up to master unarmed and pistol to specialist and smuggeler novice. oh and medic novice.. so do i have to get another skil to craft teh knifes >>???? if so which one or ones ?? thanks.

You do not have to be an artisan to craft. But you will have to be one to survey. Otherwise, you can purchase your metals off of the bazaar. And any metal works in knifes.

I'm sorry, I usually don't jump in on these types of comments, as to me the only stupid question is the question not asked, but I just have to say...

While I agree that the majority of people who ask about the quality of tools in regards to slicing don't read the FAQ's and need to, the fact is that the FAQ needs to be updated since it still implies that there is a chance that quality does matter.


Now that GreenMarine has clearly stated that quality of tools don't matter for slicing, the FAQ needs to be updated to reflect so. Once that is done you can go back to chastising those who don't read it.

It may not be in the FAQ...


But it is in Caylin's "Correspondent Only" thread, which is also handily linked in the "Important Links" thread. It's equally informative and as easily accessed as the FAQ. Those aren't IMPORTANT links for nothing...

I agree that everyone should read through everythread in the Important links, as I did as an aspiring smuggler. However, the Smuggler FAQ is by far the most read out of all of them especially for new smugglers. Since the discussion of tool quality for slicing is on the first post/page of the Smuggler FAQ it is easily seen and read by many and should be edited to possibly reduce the amount of times the question is asked.


The "Correspondent Only" thread is great but you really have to look hard to find an answer to what you are looking for. A simple edit to the FAQ is all I'm asking for.

Not such an easy edit, since it appears Kav bailed out on us. Now, if you want to volunteer to create an updated FAQ, be my guest. I'd do it, but I'm bailing out in a month as well and wouldn't be here to update it beyond that.
